The mother pleaded guilty to neglecting her children over a 2 day period back in March and was spared a prison sentence after the court was told that she was an otherwise good mother and her children were now back with her after a stint in foster care. Judge Robert Bartfield sentenced the mother to a 6-month prison sentence that was suspended for 12 months. He told her that immediate incarceration would be destructive to her children since they had just recently returned from foster care to live with her.
