NFL Star Anthony Harris stepped up when a young girl had no one to take her to the daddy-daughter dance after losing her father and grandfather within the same.
Sometimes in the middle of all the terrible things we hear on the news comes a story so wholesome, it's impossible not to share.
This NFL player decided to make the dreams of this young 11 year old come true and left us all weeping in the process.
Audrey Soape had a tough year when she lost her father and grandfather within months of each other. It was also the year when her church was going to host a daddy-daughter dance.
A moment which could have been difficult for her, turned into one of absolute joy when she was surprised by none other than her favourite sportsman NFL legend, “Anthony Harris”.
The entire situation was orchestrated by Audrey’s mother who reached out to Harris on Instagram and explained the situation to him.
Holly revealed, "It happened really fast. He said yes probably about a week before, so it was kind of a whirlwind."
Not only did he show up and make it a wonderful night, but he also covered the costs for everything.
"He made sure she had the dress that she wanted and the shoes that she wanted. She got set up with hair and makeup - just, the whole works. She just felt like a princess all night."
Audrey was super nervous to meet her idol.
"At first it was kind of awkward because we weren't talking yet. But then he kind of came up and started talking to me - I think about like, football and how my day was going."
Her mother Holly was also blown away by the sentiment.
"I was so anxious and excited for her because she just had the most terrible year.”
"For someone to show up and to teach her that people do show up for you, it's just been beyond a blessing. Just the power of God and how he makes these situations happen has just been unbelievable and remarkable."
Harris on the other hand said that he was just trying to be a good person and support someone that was in need.
"[I was] just trying to be a human.”
"Trying to take off the helmet, trying to take off the cape of what I do professionally and just show some sympathy for that family and try to show some support there."
