Most people enjoy having a pet or two in the family, some even overdo it and have several. They are great companions, loving and loyal. However, there seems to be quite a history of our lovable little friends turning on their owners, and literally killing them!
#1 Buster The Bull Dog
Police were called to investigate a suspected resident in Liverpool who had been missing for several days. However, when they arrived they found his bull terrier, Buster, with blood all over his face and the chewed bones of the owner throughout the house. The dog was in an agitated state and police believed at first he was upset because his owner was murdered. Later it was found that the man had a heart attack, proving that Buster had not killed his owner, but had eaten the corpse.
#2 Pack Of Trouble
One dog eating its owner is bad enough, but Andrea Lumboga had gone away on vacation for 14 days and when he finally returned home his seven dogs were very happy to see him. The dogs had not been fed or left food and were starving for several days. When Lumboga opened the door he was attacked by the pack of loving pets and torn apart like a stuffed crust cheese pizza. A neighbor found the body, or the remains, spread all over the property.
#3 Cat Got Your Tongue
Cats are known as loving but very arrogant pets. But did you know that the little furballs will be the first in line at the buffet line when a human body is discovered? The neighbors of Janet Veal were worried about her because she had not been outside her home in awhile. They called the police and the authorities entered her house to find Janet dead, with her nine cats feasting on her remains. Starving, the cats decided to do away with loyalty and eat their owner, whose last name made the whole thing very ironic.
#4 Hamster Homicide
So adorable, they're small, furry, and live in cages. But they have also been known to be cannibalistic. But who knew these critters could become teeny Hannibal Lecter's? A 43-year-old woman was found dead in her home with her pet hamster. The autopsy revealed some pretty strange things. There were tiny bite marks on the body. Worst yet, the hamster's burrow had been decorated with chunks of skin, fat and muscle tissue.
#5 The Lizard Lover
Ron Huff was enthralled with exotic pets, mainly the monitor lizard. He owned seven of the reptiles. When he hadn't been heard from in several days his family became worried and called the police. Police discover Huff dead on the floor, at least what was left of him. Apparently, the lizards had turned on the owner and decided to find out if humans actually do taste like chicken. All seven of the lizards had bits of Huff's body in their stomachs.
#6 Hungry Hungry Hippo
A hippo as a pet is a bad idea to start with. They're huge, loud, dirty, temperamental, and they eat, a lot. Marius Els, a South African farmer, kept a per hippo on his farm, despite being alerted of the dangers. Last year, E;s body was found floating in the river running through his land. It had been thoroughly chewed up by the hippo. It turns out that hippos eat more than just marbles.
#7 That'sNot Chicken
Grant Williams owned a 13-foor Burmese Python. We say 'owned' because you can see where we're going here, right? One day a neighbor found Williams dead in his apartment with his python wrapped tightly around his body. According to experts, Williams had been feeding the snake rats and chicken, and the snake had not eaten in some time when Williams returned home smelling like fried chicken so it went into feeding mode. Sadly, Williams was the victim of the snakes mistaken identity.
#8 Ferret Felony
Over the last two decades, people began having ferrets as household pets. They're cute and can be pretty good pets if taken care of properly. A Missouri couple was awoken one night when they heard their baby screaming over the baby monitor, and ran to see what was happening. Thinking it was either hungry or had a dirty diaper, the parents were shocked to find that the pet ferret had actually eaten seven fingers off the baby's hands. The animal was killed and the child was hospitalized and critical for months but survived the sharp teeth of the hungry ferret.
#9 Squeal Like A Pig
Terry Vance Garner, a farmer, went to feed his pigs their dinner. When he failed to return back to the house his family went to see where he was. They were in shock when they discovered the 69-year-olds remains scattered throughout the pig pen. Domestic pig attacks are rare but not unheard of. Garner actually suffered a heart attack and dropped to the ground which ultimately led to his gruesome demise as the pigs fed on his dying body.
#10 A Horror Scene
This is the absolute most gruesome death by pet ever. Mark Voegel of Germany had an entire army of exotic and rare pets in his home. When they somehow escaped from their cages, mysteriously at the same time, it was a scene of pure horror. A black widow spider named Bettina landed the fatal blow. When experts arrived at his house they found the ghastly sight of Voegel's body covered in spider webs with arachnids scurrying in and out of his mouth and nostrils. In addition, his head and skull were being snacked on by termites, which he had kept contained as feed for his pet aardvark. For even more of an eerie effect, a dozen rare reptile were also roaming around the house and body.
