#2 Clemency to Jeff Mizanskey: Life without parole for marijuana

Jeff Mizanskey was sentenced to life in prison for dealing marijuana. All the criminals involved in the crime were set free but Jeff became the easy fall guy in a conspiracy to distribute marijuana. Richard Oswald, a fifth generation sustainable farmer noticed the horribly unsustainable business practices by two giant American food corporations, Kellogg and General Mills and decided to make a stand. He petitioned online and made change with over 117K supporters. Richard got General Mills and Kellogg to reduce its harmful emissions that were severely damaging the environment.

#11 Charges Against Transgender Teen Defending Herself

May 7, 2014 After being bullied for months, transgender teen Jewlyes Gutierrez fought back against a group of girls harassing her at school. Though she was outnumbered, she was the only student who faced criminal charges after the fight.
