Piers Morgan clears to AMber Heard that it is time that she 'stops playing the victim' after her recent interview after the defamation trial loss.

The final verdict was reached by 7 jurors who concluded in the trial that Heard did actually defame her ex-husband Depp in her 2018 op-ed in which she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse.

Even though in the op-ed Depp was not mentioned by name but it was obvious that he was the target and during his testimony, the actor told the court that because of these false allegations his personal life and career, were destroyed.

Heard countersued Depp for $100m with a claim that Depp created a "smear campaign" against her.

After the verdict, the jury awarded Depp $10m in compensatory damages and $5m in punitive damages (but the punitive damages are capped to $350,000 in the state of Virginia).

Apart from this, Heard was also awarded $2m in compensation over comments from Depp's lawyer Adam Waldman where he called Heard's abuse allegations a "hoax."

After her loss, the Aquaman star has labeled that due to Depp's fame on social media, the jury's decision was influenced that the verdict had been unfair.

"Even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying, you still couldn’t tell me — look me in the eye and tell me — that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation," Heard said.

"You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair."

The 6 week-long trial became a hit on social media and was covered greatly on platforms with the majority of people supporting Depp and slamming Heard for alleged false claims.

Despite seeing herself negatively represented on social media, Heard says she doesn't take it personally.

“I don’t care what one thinks about me or what judgements you want to make about what happened in the privacy of my own home, in my marriage, behind closed doors,” she said.

“I don’t presume the average person should know these things. And so I don’t take it personally.”

Broadcaster Piers Morgan, has also shared his view on the infamous trial and has hit out at Heard's comments about social media during the trial and tweeted: "The jurors didn't read any of the social media stuff, they listened to the evidence & concluded she was lying.

"I suggest it's time for Ms Heard to stop playing the victim," he added.

Well, this is not the first time Morgan has talked about the trial, as he even reacted to Depp's win on his new TalkTV showPiers Morgan Uncensored.

He described how Depp has been "vindicated" with a "complete slam dunk victory for Johnny Depp” and added it was a “wipeout for Amber Heard”.

“It’s hard to imagine a bigger humiliation for Amber Heard. It’s a complete disaster and failure," Morgan said.
