A plus-size model claimed she was "too fat" and couldn't board her Qatar Airways trip without paying $3022.

Influencer Juliana Nehme, 38, claims that the airline refused to allow her to board her journey home to Brazil because of her size. She has accused the airline of discriminating against her.

Juliana wrote in a message to her 118,000 Instagram followers about her family's vacation in Lebanon and how she arrived there without incident on Air France.

She claims she was denied boarding her flight from Beirut to Doha on November 22 when she was returning on Qatar Airways.

She would have missed her next flight to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she currently resides, due to the trauma.

Additionally, Juliana said that the airline tried to convince her to pay $3,000 (£2,480) to upgrade to first class so she could fit in the seat instead of returning the $1,000 (£830) she had paid for her ticket.

She vented in a video that she shared on social media, saying: "They are denying my right to travel. I'm desperate, help me, they don't want me to board because I'm fat.

"What a shame for a company like Qatar to allow this type of discrimination against people! I'm fat, but I'm just like everyone else!"

The influencer ultimately decided to stay in Lebanon with her mother while her sister and nephew went back to their native country, where she is still presently residing.
