Polygamy is still practiced worldwide.

If you thought men with multiple wives were antiquated and those sorts of relationships had been relegated to the past, think again. They're out there. And whether everybody is happy and not being hurt is hard to say. Personally, I have no experience with polygamy, so seeing what life is like for people in a polygamous relationship is a real eye-opener. It's not tempting to me, but hey, to each their own!

By the time he was 29, Brady Williams had five wives.

Paulie, Rhonda, Robyn, Rosemary, and Nonie all call Brady their husband. But the regular polygamists that live nearby in rural Utah disapprove of their lifestyle, even though they used to be fundamentalist Mormons.

They're pro-gay marriage, have been known to drink from time to time, and teach their 24 kids that monogamy is okay.

It's an unimaginable life for most of us, with Brady sleeping with in a different bed every night, rotating through each of his wives in turn.

Heck, even the monthly $4,000 grocery bill is foreign to most of us. But they call themselves "progressive polygamists," or, in Brady's words, "normal times five."

From the outside looking in, it's hard to see what's normal about the situation.

As if one relationship isn't hard enough, Brady has to manage five of them at once. And his wives have to live in close proximity to each other, raising their own kids and dealing with loneliness and natural jealousy four out of every five nights.

No surprise, the huge family is spread over two houses. Rosemary, Paulie, and Robyn live in one house, with Rhonda and Nonie next door. They all grew up among polygamists in the same rural Utah town – in fact, they're all cousins – so they're used to the lifestyle, even though they're no longer practicing Mormons.
