Racist Couple That Crashed 8y/o's Birthday Party Sentenced To 35 Years In Prison
John Ismael Torres, 26 and Kayla Rae Norton were sentenced to a combined 35 years in prison after being arrested for storming the birthday party of an 8-year child.
According to witnesses, the two drove by with a caravan of trucks, waving confederate flags and screaming racial slurs at the guests. The group called ‘Respect the Flag’ continued with their disgusting behavior and threatened to ‘Kill y’all n*****s’.
It was also reported that Torres brandished a shotgun and pointed it towards partygoers, making their threats all the more serious.
The two were then convicted under a ‘street gang terrorism’ law in Douglasville, Atlanta. A video of this incident shows proof of their actions along with people telling them that, “it’s a child’s birthday party”
These two were the last of 15 people to be sentenced with regard to this incident. Only 4 of the group were charged with felonies while the rest plead guilty in order to serve shorter terms in prison.
Victims of the incident intimated that they did not expect to encounter such racist behavior in 2017.
The couple is seen crying in court as they hear the verdict of their sentencing. Along with their 20- and 15-year sentences respectively, they will also be banned from Douglas County.
