Rihanna and her family members are mourning the untimely departure of their 21-year old cousin Tavon Alleyne, who was murdered near his home in Barbados. The 29-year old singer attended Tavon's funeral and shared pictures of the two together on her social media account, which they had captured only a night before Tavon's death.

#1 Murdered In Cold Blood
Rihanna's 21-year old cousin Tavon Alleyne was murdered in cold blood on the boxing day. According to the reports, Tavon was walking to his girlfriends' house in Barbados when he was brutally shot multiple times. He was later rushed to the hospital in a private car but couldn't sustain his injuries and later died in the hospital.
Only a day before Tavon's murder, he was joined by cousin Rihanna as the two spent the day together at their country home, not knowing this would be the last time they see each other.

Grieving the death of her young cousin, Rihanna shared pictures of the two cousins together and posted, "RIP cousin… can’t believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth of your body!!! Love you always man."

Rihanna spent Christmas with Tavon and other family members at their country home in Barbados. Mourning the death of her lost cousin, Rihanna was pictured at Tavon's funeral. Wearing a white dress the singer kept her eyes covered with white sunglasses and was seen holding a picture of Tavon, with an image of a beach in the background.

The 29-year old singer placed a white wreath on her cousin's casket and said, "Laid to rest, sleep well, buddy." Rihanna also shared a glimpse of the funeral at her social media, she posted a picture of Tavon's grave, captioned it, "Sleep well, buddy. We are at peace knowing you are in a better place than we are. We will always have a void without you, but we will never stop loving you. Hope you were happy with your going away celebration today."

#5 Tavon Is Innocent
Tavon Allyene's sister says that her brother was no saint but he didn't go looking for trouble. Tanella Alleyne, 22, devasted over the death of her only brother says they lost their mother at a young age and were celebrating Christmas after a very long time as a family. "It was our first Christmas together. We were looking out for each other. I really, really, really love my brother."
Tanella also claims that her brother was innocent and was unarmed, "Tavon did nothing."
