It would be the twenty-sixth largest economy in the entire world, and that number is increasing yearly.

More than the entire population of the city of Houston and seven times more than the population of Iceland.

That amount is more than Argentinas entire GDP and almost more than the GDP of Ireland, Singapore, and Austria.

Live within fifteen minutes of a Walmart store. 54% live within seven minutes of a store, and only 8% of Americans live further than 65 minutes from a store.
#5 Between The First Walmart Opening In 1962 And 2002
The number of single-owner shop retailers in the US declined over 55%. By the year 2015, that number of small businesses selling similar products declined to a record low of over 85%. Since 2012, Walmart has opened between two and five new stores somewhere in the world every week.

They would take up more than 32 square miles. That's as much as 15,300 football fields! The parking lots of Walmarts in the US take up more space than the city of Tampa Florida.
#12 Five Walmart Stores In Seven States Suddenly Closed
Without a warning to employees, they shut and locked the doors on April 13, 2015 causing the layoff of 2,250 unsuspecting workers for six months. The company claimed the closures were due to plumbing issues. To keep these store closing in perspective, the average store nets about $162,000 per day. That's $144 million in lost revenue in that six months of closure that has yet to be explained. Some say it was in correlation to the military operation known as Jade Helm 15.

It takes only 8 to 12 weeks once the foundation is poured for a new store to be built and opened, depending on weather conditions. So it's hard to imagine that it took SIX months to fix minor plumbing problems in the five closed store locations.
