Finding a time capsule is a fascinating way to learn about the past, especially through firsthand accounts of people who've lived through it.
A team of builders in the Arizona area made an unexpected discovery while renovating a home. The crew unearthed a hidden time capsule behind the walls and insulation of the old house, but they didn't yet know where this discovery would lead them.

While renovating a ranch in North Phoenix, a team of home builders made a discovery behind the walls of the home...a time capsule. After further inspection, they discovered that the capsule was from 1966 and contained photographs and letters written by a 33-year-old woman named Betty Klug.

Based on the letters inside the time capsule, the team learned Betty had intended to give it to her husband Bruce later on in their marriage. She hid it behind the wall on his birthday September 27, 1966 and never mentioned it to him once. Unfortunately, Betty was killed in a car accident in 1976 and was never able to give her husband the time capsule.
Four years later Bruce moved out of the house, leaving the time capsule in the wall and undiscovered.

When the home renovators made their astonishing discovery, they decided to track Bruce down. After a lot of hard work, they finally found him, now 80 years old and living in Scottsdale, Arizona. They set up an appointment to meet with him and give him the time capsule that was rightfully his.
When they met, Bruces hands were trembling as he opened the time capsule and read the note written by his wife so long ago. He couldn't believe the amazing gift he was receiving.
"The Vietnam War is still going on," he read in Betty's familiar handwriting. "Racial situation very serious. Boys have long hair resulting from the Beatle craze," some of the letters inside read.

Bruce was very thankful the renovators took the time to track him down and give him the special gift. He reminisced for a while, recalling how he and Betty had the best marriage and never argued.
It's crazy to think that Bruce went over 50 years without knowing the time capsule even existed. When you think about it, it's actually heartbreaking. But what a beautiful blessing for it to come back to him when he least expected it.
