Her KitKat had no crispy wafer crunch, which is the candy bar's trademark, so she is demanding the candy maker give her a lifetime supply of chocolate.
She Is Demanding A Lifetime Supply Of Chocolate Because Her KitKat Had No Wafer Inside
#1 Saima Ahmad Takes Her Chocolate Seriously
We've all had disappointing snack experiences. There are those bags of chips that are 90% air, chocolate that doesn't taste like it did when we were kids, and countless recipe changes that make our favorite treats unrecognizable. However, 20-year-old Saima Ahmad recently had one such bothersome experience and she's not taking it lightly.
#2 Something Was Wrong With Her Favorite Candy Bar
The 20-year-old London-based law student bit into her KitKat recently, she noticed its trademark crunch was missing.
#3 The Signature 'BREAK' Was Missing From Her Bars
Ahmad bought a multipack of Kit Kats for £2 (about $4), which contained a total of eight bars. When she went to munch on one of the candy aisle delicacies, she noticed that something was off. Very off. Instead of being delighted by crisp wafers covered in chocolate, she ended up with just a hunk of chocolate. All eight bars were nothing but chocolate.
#4 She Is Asking For An Apology From Nestle Along With Lots Of Chocolate
Now, she is threatening to sue Nestle unless they give her a lifetime supply of Kit Kats and an apology. Oh, and she also wants a refund for the original package that resulted in her suffering an emotional and monetary loss.
#5 She Wrote Manufacturer Nestle A Letter With Her Demands
In her letter to the company, Ahmad writes,
"The truth of the matter is; manufacturers owe a duty of care to consumers. The specific duty you owe in consistency in your manufacturing process. The failure to take due care in the manufacturing process resulted in a product being defective. As a result I feel as though I have been misled to part with my money and purchase a product that is clearly different from what has been marketed by Nestle."
#6 Nestle Needs Her More Than She Needs Them
For the most part, the 20-year-old is a huge fan of Kit Kats and wants to ensure that the brand maintains its quality. She concludes,
"The loss I have suffered is of monetary and emotional significance.I would like a full refund of the defective pack of KitKat I purchased. I have also lost my faith in Nestle.
"Clearly, if I wanted to purchase a confectionary item that is purely chocolate, I would have purchased a bar of Galaxy.
"I would therefore like to request a life-long supply of KitKat bars and other chocolate bars, so that I can act as a means of quality control it appears you need me more than I need you."
#7 Nestle Has Not Responded Directly To Her Demands For A Lifetime Of Chocolate
In response, a Nestle spokesperson said that any consumer with a complaint should contact the company so they can resolve the issue. Even so, it doesn't seem as though it's going to be that simple. Many Twitter users have shared Saima's post and come forward with similar complaints.
"They should definitely give in to me," Ahmad asserts. "I'm hoping my demand will go higher than the customer service platform. I'd like the CEO of Nestle to respond to my letter because it's an extremely important issue."
#8 Give Us A Break
Miss Ahmad is adamant that she will take legal action if the company does not comply with her demands. "I'm trying my luck. If you don't ask you don't get," she said.
