#1 Instant Barbeque

You may not have access to a full sized grill but that doesn't mean you have to miss out on the Summer fun. You can make your own grill and have an indoor cookout with items from the dollar store. All you need is a set of roasting pans, a 2 pack of cooling racks, and charcoal.

#2 Place The Pan On The Frist Cooling Rack

Make sure the surface is even and inflammable then place the roasting pan on top of the cooling rack. Fill the bottom with charcoal (you can buy it ready to light at the dollar store in small bags) then place the second grill over the top of the pan. Light your fire, and you can begin roasting burgers and hot dogs in just a few minutes. This will get the job done for a few dollars and it's ideal for apartments and tailgating.

#3 Use Shower Caps To Cover Bowls

You can get either 8 or 10 plastic shower caps at the dollar store and use them in place of plastic wrap for a better seal on round and odd shaped bowls. This idea is also great for keeping flies and insects off from foods at a picnic. The best part is they're flexible and you can reuse them over and over.

#4 Whip Up Your Own Body Creams

By mixing items from the dollar store like lotions, essential oils, and petroleum jelly, you can make your very own body cream that works just as well or even better than expensive brands. Vitamin E butter and creamy cocoa butter work great at keeping your skin moisturized. Add those to a mixing bowl with about 20 drops of your favorite essential oil, and whip together with a whisk for about five minutes or until the mixture is a creamy texture. Try it for yourself and you'll be amazed at the results.

#5 Eco-Friendly Dryer Sheets

For literally pennies on the dollar, you can make your own reusable eco-friendly dryer sheets. Each six pack of heavy duty reusable wipes can be cut into about fifty single dryer sheets that will fit inside a sealable container.

#6 Pour A Cap Of Fabric Softener Into A Container

Then add another capful of warm water before placing the cut up sheets inside. Add another half cap full of softener and a cap of water to the top and squeeze them until all the sheets are thoroughly soaked. After you work the sheets into the liquid as evenly as possible, let them soak for about an hour. Then just lay them out on a towel to dry for about 2 hours and you have your very own reusable dryer sheets. Keep them stored in the sealable container and just toss one or two into the dryer when needed. The best part is that you keep these and remake more when your supply is diminished. For just a few bucks you turn 2 loads of fabric softener into 150 dryer sheets.

#7 Reusable Ice Packs

Turn those 12 packs of kitchen sponges into reusable ice packs simply and for only a dollar. Start by placing the sponges in water until sopping wet, then place them into individual sandwich bags. Try to get as much air out of the bags as possibly before placing the bag inside of a second bag for leakage control. Put the bag into the freezer for about an hour and you're ready to cool off.

#8 An Alternative Method

Ideal for swollen joints, muscles, and bumps and bruises try adding a little rubbing alcohol and dish soap to each bag before freezing. This will create a gel-like consistency that will mold to your body and retain the cold temperature for a little longer than the store bought cold packs.

#9 Fun And Games

This fun game goes by many names and comes in many different shapes and sizes, but we know it a BEER PONG. At the dollar store, get yourself a package or cups and a few plastic balls for a larger version of the popular drinking game. Put the cups one either end of a table in a triangular formation, fill with your favorite liquid, and start bouncing!

#11 For A Basic Nightlight

Just glue a LED candle inside the lid of a jar and twist it back on the jar. This is easy and can be twisted open simply to turn the candle on and off. For a more decorative and illuminating centerpiece, let your creative juices flow. Place jars upright on fancy coasters, insert the candle light, twist the lid back on and stick a few flower stems through the straw hole on the lid. Express yourself with a little extra flair by adding stickers, or by placing marbles inside the jar around the candle.
