Some Clever Chap Came Up With An Ingenious Idea To Stop People Littering

The amount of litter on our streets is absolutely staggering, with people taking less and less regard for Britain's streets. Thankfully though, UK organization Hubbub plans to clean up the streets of London through its #neatstreets campaign. Coming up with an ingenious campaign, Hubbub have devised a number of clever ways to get us binning our rubbish, instead of leaving it to clutter up our streets.

One project sees smokers vote on various topics by placing their finished cigarette butts into transparent containers in public areas. Another clever ploy uses devices that play music when a cigarette butt is inserted, and yet another encourages gum-lovers to dot-the-dot on special boards.

#3 They’ve even got one for cricket fans too

"Our public polling discovered that a staggering 86 per cent of people think littering is a disgusting habit yet only 15 per cent of us would actually confront someone and tell them that," the organization writes on its webpage. "This is why from May to October we're trialling a new approach to tackling littering on Villiers Street, Westminster, using the latest thinking on behavior change and awareness raising from around the world."

#6 Hopefully this project can clean up London’s streets

I literally can't wait to run into one of these clever chewing gum boards. I'll definitely be encouraging friends and family to use these trash receptacles, instead of littering. Also, am I the only one wondering how Cristiano Ronaldo was beating Leo Messi in the cigarette butt poll? That's just madness.
