Janessa Richard is spilling industry secrets. We won't reveal everything here but we've gotta say, CHANGE THE BEDSHEETS IMMEDIATELY!
Jannessa started her later videos saying that these were her personal experiences and may not be indicative of other hotels. Either way, this is some super interesting stuff.
She says she experienced some interesting things in her time working at a hotel and was happy to share her experiences with the rest of the world.
In her first video she warns people to NOT use the duvets or covers and to immediately throw them on the floor.
This is because those are cleaned once a year.
😱
Secondly, if you were nice to the people that worked there you could get an upgrade.
Not that you need a reason to be nice, an upgrade is definitely worth it.
She added that hotel employees legally cannot say your room number out loud so pay attention if they do.
In her second video, she had some stories to tell.
Like this one, where the police had to be called to remove an escort service for the hotel. She has the rest of the story up on her TikTok
Hotels are way more gross than we realised. Here she revealed that toilet paper is shaped in a nice way but not changed between guests.
🤮
In the third one she warned against drinking from the glasses they set out for you because apparently nothing is safe in hotel rooms.
She continues to share a secret that if there is something you don't like about your room or it has not gone according to plan, you can actually get your hotel room comped.
In part 4 of this series, even the carpets aren't safe. She said that while they're regularly vacuumed, they are deep cleaned only once a year.
She also revealed that if you're checking out and about to miss breakfast, you can ask for a to-go bag and take it with you when you leave.
She also warned people to book firectly with the hotel because booking through sites like Expedia are never guaranteed and you may end up without a room once you reach your destination.
Who knew hotels were so gross? We came here for fun facts but now we're just scared.
