Strange Video Footage Of An 'Alien' Shedding Its Skin Has Been Found

Since 1905, there have been 104,947 reported sightings of aliens. In 2010, alone, there were 45,000 sightings reported. Either our imaginations are really going wild or something else is going on. There is no way of knowing if any of these incidents are true, but in December 2017, NASA said that the Kepler telescope had found that there are 40 billion rocky, Earth-size exoplanets floating around in the Milky Way. What makes this discovery so exciting is that 11 million of them actually orbit sun-like stars just like the Earth does.

Even though the likelihood of us being alone in the universe has gotten slimmer, only time will truly tell if we will ever make contact with extraterrestrial life. NASA scientists say that, if extraterrestrial life is out there, we will likely know for sure within the next 20 years.

Recently, incredible video footage has emerged that has made people think that we have already found extraterrestrial life. The footage that we are showing you here is a large alien-like spider that was posted in a Facebook group and has gained over 13,000 views in a day.

The woman who recorded this incredible video is Sandra Adaway. The video shows what looks like a male huntsman spider shedding its skin. If that is not enough to give you the heebie-jeebies, it can be seen writhing and squirming around while trying to free itself from his old skin which makes him look even more bizarre and larger than he really is.

The event was filmed by Sandra who lives in Sebastopol, a suburb of Ballarat, Australia. She thought the spider died after he shed his skin because he laid there lifeless for around five minutes. As it turned out, he was fine. He must have just needed a little nap after all of that physical exertion.

People in the group who watched the video and have had some experience with Huntsman spiders knew exactly what was going on. One of the viewers even commented, "Wow! I always find their moults but never caught one in the act before. How disgustingly fascinating." We could not agree more! That video was utterly disgusting yet so fascinating that we could not take our eyes away for one moment.

One viewer even said that she has a Huntsman in her home that she has named 'Heather', but she has never seen her shed before. Other viewers couldn't help but comment about how terrifying the footage was for them to see. "Were any of you getting worried about Spidey jumping out at the camera? I was on the edge watching this!" one wrote.

Huntsman spiders are often referred to as giant crab spiders, so it is no wonder that the spider in this video was referred to as an alien. However, despite its scary appearance, they are harmless for the most part. But, if a Huntsman as big as this one were to bite someone, it would leave a nasty injury even though their venom is not poisonous.

These giant spiders can be found in the warmest regions of the world. One Huntsman spider made the news when a woman found one lurking over her bed, and she took to Reddit for advice on how to get rid of it.

"There is a huntsman in my room and I’m nervous to turn the lights off," she wrote. "Need help easing my mind." Unfortunately, the responses to her post were not very comforting. One user said, "The only peace is knowing this is the end for you. It is your time." Another said, "Hopefully it will accept your husband as a sacrifice and leave you alone."
