When applying a self-tanner, your cuticles, knuckles, knees, ankles, and elbows are likely to soak up more DHA (the ingredient that creates with the amino acids on your skin to make you tan), making you darker in those areas. To prevent this from happening, wipe away excess product before it has a chance to set it using clean cotton swabs and circular motions over those spots.

#15 Clean up your messy manicure.

“My favorite beauty tip is to use a pointed cotton swap to wipe off excess nail polish around the nail in a manicure or pedicure,” says Christina Carter, owner and creator of red beauty bar. Let me say this clearly, I don’t advocate sleeping less than you should. After all, it’s unhealthy. Hormones go out of whack, your skin appears dull, your mind’s focus is poor, and it’s easy for you to gain weight. But on those days when you can’t get enough sleep and you need to face your boss, attend a meeting, see a friend, or go out of your house, learn to fake it by dabbing a little shimmer on the inner corners of your eyes. Voila! Brighter and more alert-looking eyes!
