A lash specialist shared the story of a client who decided to superglue fake eyelashes to her face instead of getting eyelash extensions. She had gotten the procedure done with the help of another aesthetician who told her it would be fine.
In a TikTok video that makes us cringe with pain, a lash specialist by the name of Mandy Warr shared a client’s terrifying experience of getting lashes super glued to her eyelids.

Mandy says she made the video to show others so they don’t make the same mistake. The original video is captioned, “These are not lash extensions.”
The false lashes that were superglued on, were done by a different beautician and were stuck right on top of the client’s eyelids and had destroyed her natural lashes.
The client also stated that the original beautician had misled her to think that it was regular lash glue which was safe for the eyes and skin.
“She got it done at a salon and she said the lady called it ‘super lash glue’, so that’s why she would only need a fill every two months.”

Although superglue isn’t toxic to human skin, it can still be incredibly painful and may cause injury when tugging at skin and hair. It could also have caused damage to the cornea and conjunctiva.
After multiple sessions, Maddy managed to safely remove the lashes using castor oil and precise care.
As the lashes became stiff and painful, the client made her way to Maddy for help.
She said that she gave the client 3 options.
“I can pick at them, it’s going to be painful but I can get them off. You can go to the E.R., or you can just let them grow out and hope they’ll fall off.”

She is confident that the lashes will fully regrow and are already looking healthier than their original state.
The client said that she still felt sore but was also relieved.

Commenters were mad on the client's behalf and suggested that she take legal action.
“I hope she’s planning on suing the salon because that’s mad dangerous”
“Omg please tell me she is taking legal action”
Another commenter was shocked that anyone would go ahead with a procedure like this, “It’s mind boggling that someone can in good conscience do this to someone.”
