Talking Too Much

17-year-old Brad Howard was continually acting up in his physics class. His parents received several emails from this teacher stating that Brad was misbehaving in class. Brad says that he likes to talk a lot, so his teacher kept emailing his parents about it.

Getting Out Of Hand

Mr. and Mrs. Howard were not sure how they should approach the situation. The raised him to be a confident young man who has a mind of his own, but it seemed like he was definitely starting to take liberties now.

Enough Is Enough

Brad's father, Brad Sr., says that his son is the life of the party and that gets him in trouble sometimes. But, he had decided that his son had been goofing off in class for long enough. It was time to teach him a lesson. His father told him that if he got another email from his teacher, he would make the next day at school one he would never forget.

Time For School

Brad Sr. said, "Hey, if we get another call I’m going to show up in school and sit beside you in class." Brad did not start behaving, and Brad Sr. was ready to make good on his promise.

"Friday is my only day off, so my wife wakes me up and says, 'Brad, it's time for you to go to school.' I thought, Oh no, what have I done?" he said.

Total Shock

Brad Jr. was totally shocked when he realized that his father had been made an honorary student in one of his classes. He said, "I didn’t even notice him until after I had said hi to all of my friends, but I was super shocked."

Oh, The Humiliation!

"I was a bit nervous being there among the teenagers," Brad Sr. explained. "Mentally I hadn’t prepared to go into a situation like that," he said.

Brad Jr.'s friends were totally tickled by the whole situation. They were enjoying the humiliation at the expense of their good friend. The loved knowing Brad Jr. was in such an uncomfortable situation.

Brad's sister, Molli, also found the entire situation to be hilarious. She tweeted a picture of the visit.

Never Again

Brad Sr. says that his son's physics teacher was grateful that his actions helped to straighten Brad Jr's behavior out. He also said that he is not planning on making a second surprise trip to the school anytime soon. "I pray it was a one-time thing," he said. "I don't think I'd ever do it again."
