Terrified Woman Crashes Car After Spotting Cockroach In Car

A 61-year-old woman crashed her car into an overhead bridge – all because of a cockroach.

According to the police, they were alerted at 7.30am on Friday (Jan 26) to the incident along Jurong East Central towards Science Centre Road.

As the pictures show us, both the red Mazda’s bumper and the stairs were terribly damaged as a result.

According to The Star, the 61-year-old woman was driving towards the Science Centre Road at approximately 7.30am. Suddenly, she saw a cockroach crawling in her car which gave her the shock of her life!

The car mounted the curb and crashed into the staircase at the foot of an overhead bridge, damaging the stairs.

She was reported to be alone in the car and had only sustained minor injuries.

Her son arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and the woman were taken conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

"The driver, a 61-year-old woman was conscious when taken to the Ng Teng Fong Hospital," said the police.

Pictures of the accident quickly went viral on social media.

Many users speculated that she was playing with her phone or that she was drowsy. No guys, she was frightened by a cockroach!

Police investigations are ongoing.
