#1 Plump And Pretty

The strange thing about people who get lip injections is that they are usually pretty attractive women. You see them and know right away that they have an issue and know they would have been even more beautiful without the enhancement of gigantic lips. This blonde bombshell has piercing blue eyes, lovely cheekbones, and gorgeous fair skin, the only issue is, she opted to run to the plastic surgeon’s office to get some fillers injected. The doctor obviously went overboard because it looks like she put a tire pump to her mouth and went wild. One of the most telling signs of lip fillers is when the top lip is larger than the bottom. Not many individuals naturally have that appearance, and it makes the whole look even more unbelievable and cartoonish.

#2 Meg’s Mouth

Meg Ryan became a superstar in the 1990s with her films, When Harry Met sally and You've Got Mail. She was beautiful and had the girl next door look that every woman wanted. Unfortunately, when the new crop of starlets came in during the 2000s, Meg Ryan apparently felt like she needed to add a little oomph to her pout in order to compete, so she got some lip fillers. Her new look isn't that bad, compared to most Hollywood actresses who strive for youth and perfection, but she still has that trout pout going on. Hopefully, she will realize that it's a waste of time and money and just let herself age gracefully with her sweetheart, adorable looks.

#3 Socialite Slip-Up

When women think they look good but its like they put on a Halloween mask is what's so disturbing. While she might be a recognizable name to Italians, chances are the name Michaela Romanini would ring a bell to Americans only if they follow botched plastic surgery television shows. The Italian socialite began playing around with plastic early on, trying to change what she perceived to be flaws, even though she was totally gorgeous. She’s had several procedures done, but one of her favorite reasons to visit the doctor’s office is for lip fillers. She apparently loves collagen injections and regularly goes to re-plump her pout, and the results are a little bit shocking. The brunette is so naturally gorgeous, and all the plastic surgeries she’s gotten have simply made her look like a meth addict.

#4 Botched Blonde

This woman was a guest on the plastic surgery-centric reality television show Botched, where she begged the doctors to fix her lip fillers. You see, she got some questionable fillers when she was younger, and though she was assured that it was sheep fat being injected, the doctors took a look and speculated that her lips were likely injected with a low-grade, non-sterile form of silicone. The problem with introducing random substances into your body is, well, they’re random substances – your body isn’t always able to tolerate them, and they can cause some pretty nasty reactions. In this woman’s case, despite having the fillers for awhile, they were continuing to grow, which is why she realized something was definitely very wrong. Seriously, ladies– if you’re going to make the decision to get fillers, at the very least, make sure that the individual administering them is trained and it’s in a clean, sterile environment.

#5 Teen Mom Trauma

Farrah Abraham was once a star on MTV's Teen Mom if that's what you call 'being a star'. No stranger to plastic surgery, she seems to have started a lot of things at an early age and shows no signs of slowing down. Having had lip injections previously, she returned for a filler to plump up her pout yet again but had a bit of an issue. She had a bad reaction to the filler used, and her upper lip became insanely swollen, and she eventually had to see another doctor to help repair the damage. This shows that just because you've had fillers before, doesn't mean they will continue to turn out full and pretty each time.

#6 Leslie Ash

British actress Leslie Ash is a total babe, but when she was in her 30s, she caved into the pressure of Hollywood beauty and opted to get lip fillers. It all went well, she had her slightly plumper pout, and then when she was forty she opted to get the same procedure done. Maintenance, right? Unfortunately, unlike her first collagen injection, the second procedure involved an injection of liquid silicone – her lips swelled, and they’ve apparently never been the same. She’s since become an outspoken advocate for the need to make the potential dangers of cosmetic surgery known.

#7 Duff’s Dilemma

Hillary Duff became famous when she starred in Lizzie McGuire. Later she went into the music business and has had a pretty good career, also filling her free time doing an occasional movie project. She has many fans because, despite rising to fame at a young age, she’s always been sweet, level-headed, and a good role model. However, at some point, she opted to plump her pout by getting some lip fillers. The result wasn’t ideal. Until the fillers deflated a bit, she was stuck with the dreaded ‘trout pout’ that so many stars get after making the decision to get lip fillers. Thankfully, the rising star eventually had her lips return to almost normal, though she says she still has trouble with them and swears to never do it again.

#8 Kim Kardashian Wannabe

Talk about over doing it and Jordan James Parke comes to mind. He got a bit of notoriety for his quest to look like reality television queen Kim Kardashian, while careful contouring and sharp brows have a definite impact, he got countless plastic surgery procedures in an attempt to get his desired look. One of the final steps was lip injections, which, as you can see, didn't turn out as planned. Parke even went on the reality show Botched as a result of his filler addiction, as he got into a bit of a dangerous situation when the fillers began to leak out the sides of his lips. He didn't want them deflated, however, just to stop leaking. He has had the augmentation several times since then and is trying to be more careful, but, YIKES!

#9 Gorgeous To Gargantuan

It’s tough to believe that the woman in the picture on the left and the woman on the right are the same person – but they are. Anyone would agree that the woman on the left is absolutely gorgeous, and though her upper lip is thinner than her lower lip, she definitely has a beautiful pout – her face is totally fine the way it is! Unfortunately, she didn’t believe that, and opted to get lip fillers at some point in her life. It’s tough to know whether she initially went for reasonable fillers and then loved the look so much that she just wanted to go bigger and bigger, or whether she purposefully went into the doctor’s office with the attitude that bigger is better, but one thing is for sure – that looks like a painful pout. She’s still a strikingly gorgeous woman, but her lips were fine the way they were.

#10 YouTuber Errors

One of the fantastic things about YouTube personalities is that many of them bring their audience into their lives in a very real way. Sure, they make edited, well-lit videos, but they also are honest and outspoken about issues they’re dealing with – and this is the perfect example. This gorgeous girl opted to get lip fillers done, and something went terribly wrong. As in most cases of lip filler fails, it’s just a matter of the lips getting way too plump – either because the individual doing the injections put too much in, or because there was some sort of reaction that caused swelling. It just goes to prove that, even though the person giving you fillers might be skilled, you just never know how your body will react to a foreign substance being injected into it, a lot of the time, it just doesn’t know what on earth it’s dealing with and responds by getting inflamed or swollen.

There is no question that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is living a way, way healthier life than she was in her Jersey Shore days. When audiences first met the reality television star, she loved nothing more than drinking and partying, passing out, and waking up to do it all over again. After the show wrapped, she focused a lot more on health and wellness, began exercising regularly, and became a mom who was a lot more focused on her family than the club. While she’s definitely gorgeous, her lip fillers are definitely a case of getting a few too many cc’s. Perhaps it’s because Polizzi is so incredibly petite, everything on her body is so small that even the slightest hint of extra plump in her pout looks way more obvious than it might on the average person. Hopefully, once they deflate a bit she’ll realize her lips were just fine the way they were.

Props to all the ladies who are brave enough to detail all the nitty, gritty details of their lip filler experience on YouTube to help make some women realize that they truly are a dangerous procedure, even if they may not require the same amount of recovery time as more invasive plastic surgery procedures. The woman pictured got some lip fillers done, and something in her body obviously reacted poorly to the substance, because they started to swell up in a majorly uncomfortable way. It just goes to prove that even the seemingly simplest procedures still carry a ton of risk, so you should definitely enter into any cosmetic surgery procedures with extreme caution. Lip fillers aren’t just a thing you should decide to get on a whim because you saw a stunning photo of Kylie Jenner and wish your own pout looked that way. It’s something that should be a well thought out decision.

Beauty vlogger Lauren Curtis has shared countless tutorials with her followers and has even shared her positive experience getting lip fillers. However, when something goes wrong, she’s definitely not afraid to be outspoken with her audience and to showcase the potential consequences of lip fillers. According to her vlog, the Aussie cutie went to get her lips filled and then awoke the next morning and noticed that her lips were swollen, bruised, and strangely lumpy. As she told her followers, “I don’t want any of you to think about getting lip injections and have it all be glamourized by everybody and think that there are no risks involved.”

She has informed her followers that you need to know the doctor or clinic you are visiting for any procedures. She alerts women that there have been cases where some 'doctors' have used cement instead of silicone, or heavy oils, causing permanent damage to one's lips and face. So, be careful out there if you're thinking about getting your lips enhanced.
