The 'haunted' doll was made by a WW2 prisoner of war
If the thought of the occult, possessions, or any paranormal activities gives you the chills, consider this your heads-up to click away now and preserve your peace of mind.
Seriously, what follows is genuinely unsettling.
Haunted dolls top the list of creepy things, especially if you've ever watched "The Conjuring."
Those who have can definitely vouch for how disturbing they are.
It's said that these eerie dolls can make rocking chairs move by themselves and even cause nausea in people just by them glancing at a photo of the dolls.
Another addition to the list of eerie dolls is Mr. Fritz, a ventriloquist doll that was crafted by a prisoner in a German World War 2 camp.
This peculiar little figure may look harmless at first glance. However, Michael Diamond, aged 48, would soon discover that this doll was far from innocent.
Michael came into possession of this 1940s doll earlier this year, and he placed it safely inside a glass cabinet.
He made sure the doll was under CCTV surveillance to ensure it stayed safe and secure.
However, it seemed that the real danger might actually stem from the doll itself.
When Michael noticed that the display cabinet door kept mysteriously opening during the night, he decided to set up a GoPro camera to record what happened over the course of two nights.
He was thoroughly shaken when he reviewed the footage. He saw the door open by itself and even captured the doll's mouth and eyes moving independently.
So disturbed by these events, Michael added a chain to the cabinet and draped it with a blanket, hoping to shield himself from the malevolent spirit inhabiting the doll.
Michael shared his eerie experience, saying: "When I first watched the video back, I had a weird feeling in my stomach.
"I wasn’t completely surprised because of what had been happening with the door. At least once or twice a week I noticed the door kept coming off its latch.
"I decided to set up the camera for fun just to see if anything would happen. When something actually did I got a weird feeling in my gut, it’s hard to describe.
"I was really taken back by it and I did have a strange feeling. I wouldn’t say I’m scared of Mr Fritz but I am wary of it."
It is believed that Mr. Fritz was created by an American prisoner at Stalag II-B, a German World War II camp.
Michael thinks that this prisoner might have been a ventriloquist before being captured.
The story goes that after the war, the haunted doll found its way to America and later to the UK.
Reflecting on the mysterious occurrences, Michael remarked: "The door was being opened once or twice a week and I knew it was strange.
"You can see on the first night the door swing open. On the next night, you can see the eyes move before the door opens and again afterwards.
"The eyes flicker and his mouth moves up and down slightly. My wife and daughter both hate it. I get why people don’t like it and think it might be scary but I’m not intimidated by it.
"What’s the explanation is the one million dollar question isn’t it? There are no open windows in the room and no airflow. The door is on a latch so shouldn’t just swing open."
Now, isn't that just creepy?
