#1 Taped To The Seat

On a New York bound Icelandair flight the passengers began to fear for their safety when a man had consumed all of his duty-free liquor and began acting violently towards the attendants. The flight was en route to the JFK airport and was already four hours into the six-hour flight and could not turn around. He was swearing, spitting on passengers, slapping the crew, and even tried to choke a woman. So the passengers restrained the 46-year-old Icelandic man and duct taped him to his seat. He was removed by the police upon arrival inNew York.

#2 Smelly Poo

In March of 2015, a British Airways flight from Dubai bound for London was forced to turn back after 30 minutes. The pilot asked for senior crew members to report to the cabin after a strange odor was detected on board. The plane returned to the airport due to a foul smelling liquid excrement in one of the lavatories. Since only half the air on the plane is recycled, it was believed the odor could cause an issue with others since the flight was to be seven hours long.

#3 Ambien Zombies

For long flights or for the many who are afraid of flying, sleep aides are a blessing. The aide of choice is fast acting Ambien, a sedative that can cure insomnia. Flight attendants have horror stories of passengers who have taken Ambien or Xanax to sedate themselves. From streaking down the aisle totally nude to falling like an axed tree, when passengers consume an unfortunate mix of Ambien and airplane cocktails, it makes even the most normal people do very bizarre things. These people are called Ambien Zombies. One flight had a man fall backward from the bathroom and land in the middle of the aisle, where he slept until they landed.

#4 Solo Performance

In 2013, and American Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency stop when one passenger would not stop singing Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" at the top of her lungs. Shortly after takeoff the woman began ripping through the 1992 song and refused to stop.

#5 Forced To Stop Her Solo

The NY bound flight out of LA was forced to stop in Kansas City as halfway through the flight, fed-up passengers became irate over the nonstop singing. At the airport, she was forcibly removed from the plane by marshalls and still continued to serenade the officers as she was whisked off to jail.

#6 Fresh Air

In 2016 a China Southern flight was delayed for an hour due to unforeseen circumstances. As the plane was taxiing down the runway, a passenger opened one of the emergency doors to 'get some fresh air'. He told the flight attendant that it was too warm on the plane and he needed some air because it was 'stuffy'. The plane was forced to return to the gate for the safety of the other 130 passengers. Ground crews inspected the door and deemed it safe before the plane took off again. The man was arrested.

#7 Dirty Laundry

A first class passenger took off his soggy socks and dried them by putting them over the air vent above his seat on a British Air flight in 2015. Passengers all the way back in coach complained about the smell. But what happened next was worse. The passengers with the man, sitting in coach, all from India, took their underclothes off and washed them by hand in the bathroom sink before lying them over the tops of the seats to air dry. Flight attendants tried to persuade them to remove the clothing but they did not respond.

#8 Pee In A Bottle

Airline toilets are cramped and often not a very pleasant experience especially if you’re on the BA flight, but they’re definitely not bad enough to avoid using altogether, right? Well this passenger obviously thought so and took it upon himself to have a wee into an empty coke bottle. Passengers complained that they watched the unidentified man on British Air remove his penis and whiz into a Coke bottle. When asked about the situation, the man admitted what he'd done and simply handed the flight attendant the bottle. She went for a plastic bag and had him dispose of it in there.

#9 Faster Departure

When a China Eastern Airlines flight landed in 2014 the crew was astonished to see the aircraft's emergency slide deploying as the plane was coming to a stop. One of the passengers was in a hurry and didn't want to wait for the other passengers to disembark, so he pulled toe emergency door instead. He told the flight attendant's that he never heard them say that the door was not to be opened, and he was arrested. It cost $16,000 to replace the deployed slide.

#10 Animal Breastfeeding

Airlines do allow women to breastfeed, but normally let them go to the flight attendants station to do so unless they are in first class. However, on flight attendant for Southwest Airlines was shocked when she walked over to a female passenger who had her breast exposed. As if that wasn't bad enough, the woman quickly asked, 'it is okay if I feed my cat isn't it?' She was breastfeeding her kitten on the plane! The crew had to tell her to go to the restroom to finish and then called ahead to alert authorities in Atlanta of her actions.

#11 Dirty Garbage

Why do flight attendants wear gloves? One Jet Blue attendant recently reported and shared photos of things she has found on her flights. From dirty diapers left in the seat magazine pockets to absolute trash, the photos are repulsive. But what's worse is that she says she has found bloody panties, dirty and full adult diapers, and even urine on the seats.

She said that a passenger used the tissue (out of the tissue box dispenser in the restroom) to clean up after their bowel movement. They then placed the used tissues back into the tissue box. A fellow flight attendant reached into the tissue dispenser for a tissue and discovered the issue firsthand.

#12 The Mile High Club

Everyone has heard of the Mile High Club, but it's actually a very difficult club to become a member of, considering the restrictions and regulations on airlines today. Maybe many years ago it was easier, but an Air France flight attendant reported in 2015 that she was summoned by another passenger to the back row, where there was 'something strange going on' between the male and female passengers. When the attendant arrived in the back, the couple were drunk and disorderly. They were so drunk that they had no idea that people were watching them have sex right there in mid-air. The plane was forced to land in Scotland, where the couple was calmly escorted off the flight by police. They had big smiles on their faces, however!
