German model, Martina Big, made headlines earlier this year when she decided to change the color of her skin. After transitioning into being a black woman via melanin injections and over the top tanning we thought this might be the last that we heard of her. Boy, were we wrong!

Controversy follows her.
In addition to becoming a 'black woman', Martina Big has had several extreme alterations. She mega-sized her breasts from a size 32D to a cup size that she said is equal to 20 "Ds". That's pretty damn big.
She's completely convinced that she is black now.
At this point in her transition, Martina actually claims to be black. She is no longer doing this just because she loves tanning. She has committed herself completely to blackness and wants the full experience of being a black woman.
She's even changed her hair.
Martina posted on her Facebook that she went as far as to change her hair to make it more black. She dyed it black and added extensions to give her curls. She truly wants it to be as authentic an experience as a white person trying to be black can have. On her page, she said that she had completely changed her ideology and wanted to get as far away from practicing blackface as possible.
She has become very passionate about her goal.
On her Facebook page she posted this in order to explain why she was going about things the way she has been: "Yes, that’s true. First I just wanted to be tanned. But then I noticed that not only my appearance, but also my feelings and beauty ideals have changed. I find black women so beautiful that I now want to become a black woman. Please do not confuse this with a 'blackface'. This is exactly the opposite! I do not want to offend black people! For me, the transformation is very important. Because I follow my heart."
She's fully embraced her "blackness".
Martina lives as a black woman these days claiming that she is "a black woman with heart and soul". She even claims that her new racial identity has made her job as a model much more exciting.
Her admiration for black women is what led her to become "black".
Explaining the way her love for modeling has changed she said: "In the past, as a white woman, for me, the photo shoots had become routine. Now as a black woman, the photo shootings have become so exciting. I often wonder about my self in the pictures." She also went on to explain how deep her love is for black women and why she wanted to become black, saying: "Being a black woman is so unpredictably great. I admired the beauty of the black women so much. That I now become more and more a black woman, this is for me the most beautiful gift in the world."
She wants the world to know that she is no longer white!
Continuing with her post, she very passionately stated that she was no longer white, saying: "Please understand me. I’m not a white woman, with black skin and African hair. I’m a black woman with heart and soul. Getting more and more the body of a black woman is so a wonderful and liberating feeling for me. I don’t want to offend anyone! But I’m not only outwardly a black woman, I’m also with heart and soul a black woman, I swear that by God!"
She also loves Pamela Anderson.
While becoming black has been her main focus, Martina has always been a huge fan of Baywatch. She is particularly enamored with Pamela Anderson.
Before her transition, she did a Baywatch photoshoot.
To show her love for the show, she once did a photo shoot wearing a Baywatchesque swimsuit while doing her best Pam impersonation. This was done before her blackafication.
She has redone those old shoots.
Recently, Martina has redone her old Baywatch photo shoot with her new updated "black" look. As you can see, it's quite the contrast. Martina has courted much controversy over the last year but she has many strong proponents that argue that she should be allowed to identify herself in any way that she chooses much like transgender people are allowed to claim their gender.
She will not be hindered by the haters.
Martina's physical alterations may have pissed off millions of black people but she will not let that stop her from expressing her blackness. With the support and praise of her fans, she is continuing to blaze a trail all her own. Who knows how far she will go.
