#1 Woman Bites Into Sandwich And Discovers A Live Snail

A woman narrowly avoided eating a live snail that she found in her supermarket sandwich.

Hannah Scott discovered the crunchy creature as she was tucking into a chicken tikka and mango chutney sandwich, from a Tesco Extra store.

Mrs. Scott, from Stallingborough, Lincolnshire, was offered £25 in compensation by the supermarket giant, which has launched an investigation.

The 37-year-old said the incident has made her think twice about even stepping foot in the shop, in Grimsby, again.

"I took a bite out of my sandwich and felt something hard and I thought that's not right, so I spat it out, not knowing what it was," she said.

"I just stared at the snail, wondering if it was dead or alive. When it started moving I thought right that's it, I need to get this sorted. I've not bought a sandwich since."

You might want to think twice before pulling up to the fast food window after hearing this disgusting tale. Joyce Fedd made an alarming discovery at a McDonald's restaurant in Jacksonville when she found not one, but two, wiggling worms in her McChicken.

According to Ms. Fedd, she ordered the food for her two children from the McDonald’s drive-through in Jacksonville, Florida.

But she said that when she looked closer at one of the McChicken sandwiches she discovered a purple worm. And then another.

#4 Shocking Photo Of Possessed Girl Found In Toy Princess Wand

A dollar store princess wand called the 'Evilstick' shocked some parents with its gruesome hidden images.

According to that news outlet, Dayton-area mom Nicole Allen had purchased a non-descript, pinkish-orange scepter-style wand for her two-year-old daughter at the $1.00 Store on Linden Avenue in Kettering, and when she unpackaged it, she found in contained a foil flower cutout that concealed a terrifying image of what appeared to be a young girl with red, glowing eyes and a large knife gesturing at slicing her wrist.

The toy resembled typical dollar store off-brand merchandise, which is not infrequently unusual, foreign-made, poorly labeled, or otherwise different from non-discount merchandise found at larger retailers. Allen said she was angry when her son removed the foil to reveal the picture and added that the toy emitted a menacing laugh, making it even scarier.

The owner of the store, Amar Moustafa, said he was not aware of the details of the product.

Moustafa said that Allen should have inspected the toy more closely and taken note of the name before purchasing it for her daughter.

Moustafa said the Evilstick may have been a leftover Halloween toy but, when we visited the store, they were placed with Barbie dolls, tiaras, and other girly toys.

#6 Girl Finds Maggots In A Bag Of Rice

A young girl lost her appetite after she discovered 'maggots' masquerading as rice in her meal.

A 12-year-old girl may be put off rice for life after finding ‘maggots’ in her dinner.

Maisy Dean was about to tuck into the boil in the bag rice from a Morrisons store in Stockport when she made the grim discovery.

Her mother Jenny Hollinshead told the Manchester Evening News her family had already eaten three bags of rice from the same box.

“Maisy has been checking all her food since it happened. She's only 12 years old and she could have very easily eaten it,” she explained.

"At first, I got no apology, they [Morrisons] just said they'd look into it and that's what infuriated me."

"They only apologized after I contacted the paper and put something on social media, then they got back to me and apologized."

Morrisons has promised a full investigation into the unsavory matter.

#9 "Ghost" Figure Wanders Around Hampton Court Palace

Yet Palace bosses have been left puzzled by a photo that appears to show the ghostly image of a waif-like child roaming one of the rooms.

The snap was taken by Sunday Express reporter James Fielding during a special sleepover arranged last weekend to mark the Tudor building’s 500th anniversary.

Nothing was visible at the time except four mannequins in Georgian dress but looking back on his iPhone later, James noticed a strange mist hovering just above the floor.

On closer inspection, he made out what appears to be a faint outline of a small child in an old-fashioned white nursery gown.

A spokeswoman for Hampton Court was unable to explain the image but said: “There have certainly been a lot of reported spooky sightings at Hampton Court Palace through the centuries."

“A number of our visitors have experienced similar ghostly-goings on – as you might expect for a building celebrating its 500th birthday this year!”

Ghostly children in Tudor dresses are said to be among the many apparitions who wander the Royal building at night while two youngsters who drowned in a lake reputedly haunt the grounds.

#10 Woman Finds Horrifying Creature in Tuna Can

Imagine opening up a can of food for lunch, and you notice something alien-like inside... looking right at you. Scared yet? Well, that's exactly what happened to Zoe Butler, 28, from the U.K.

Almost immediately after opening up some Princes tuna, Butler spotted a "sea creature" she knew wasn't supposed to be in her food. "I opened the top of the lid and saw a purple-y thing, a gut sack or intestine–then I turned it round and pushed it with a fork and saw it looking back at me…It's got like a spiny tail along the bottom," she told the Nottingham Post.

She then (as anyone else would) screamed in horror. She eventually contacted the company, sending them images of the animal, which is thought to be a type of crab. They quickly responded and apologized.

#11 Family Photobombed And Harrassed By "Ghost" Of Girl Who Drowned In The River

In this seemingly innocent photo, a happy family splashes around in a picturesque creek as sunlight dapples the water.

But on closer inspection, a supernatural visage can be clearly seen at the center of the image - and paranormal experts claim it is the ghost of a girl who drowned there in 1915.

The face is eerily luminescent and has two dark ‘eye holes’. Some observers have claimed two hair buns can be seen. Others have claimed they could be horns.

Kim Davison, from Queensland, Australia, posted the image, taken at Lockyer Creek in southeast Brisbane, on the 'Toowoomba Ghost Chasers' Facebook page.

She wrote: "There were only three children there on that day."

"We have had two IT specialists look at this photo."

"At the time of taking this photo, there was nothing between us."

Chillingly, the spirit could have been malevolent.

#12 Kim said there were a series of unexplained incidents on the day that could have been caused by an angry supernatural presence.

"The older girl had trouble in the water on two occasions that day,” she added.

Followers of the supernatural probed deeper and discovered that a 13-year-old drowned at the spot.

An entry in the Brisbane Courier on November 22, 1915, reveals that Doreen O’Sullivan died bathing at the site.

It states: "Doreen O’Sullivan, aged 13 years, eldest daughter of Mr. James O'Sullivan' was accidentally drowned whilst bathing in the Lockyer Creek on Friday afternoon."

"Nearly an hour elapsed before the body was recovered. The spot, which has always been considered dangerous, is known as Murphy's Hole and is over 20ft deep."

"The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, and was largely attended, the convent school children, dressed in white, marching next to the hearse."

#13 Woman Finds Venomous Creatures That Can Cause Erections In Her Bananas

A British mother opened a new bag of bananas only to discover a nest of deadly spiders that pack a torturous side-effect with their bite.

The Telegraph reports that Maria Layton, 43, was about to serve the bananas, which her husband bought from popular British grocery chain Tesco, to her 6-year-old daughter, Siri.

She found a funny spot on the back of the banana, so she retrieved another, only to find it contained a webbed cocoon.

Layton Googled the image to learn that the food was infested with Brazilian Wandering Spiders.

Dozens of them could have been stored in each banana, which had been in her home for just one day and had come from Costa Rica.

Brazilian Wandering Spiders are known as the deadliest spiders on the planet because they can kill a human in just two hours with their bite.

Male victims experience the most pain when bitten, however, as the venom can produce painful erections lasting approximately four hours.
