This story starts in Ecuador, where a carpenter noticed a trash bag moving.
He investigated...and was shocked and heartbroken by what he found. It was a baby, abandoned at birth, and it had Down syndrome.
The boy was placed into an orphanage.
That's where he met Rachel Van Eerden, who was touring the orphanage with her family. "My eyes let this little baby," she said, "it was love at first sight."

Today, the little baby -- now named Eddie -- has a home.
Rachel's family adopted him. The process took a long time, but five years later, he's officially found his family.
