Things You Should Never Wear On An Airplane
Nature and Travel

Travelling, whether by plane or train or car, is typically a stressful experience.Whether you’re travelling home for the holidays or jetting off for a vacation, there are probably plenty of things on your mind.
But you should think about the travel clothing you’ll wear en route. Almost everybody knows that it’s comfortable, but the antithesis of style, to show up to the airport in a pair of pyjamas. And similarly, most of us have realised that high heels are a no-go on a train, bus, plane, and just about every other mode of transportation.
When you’re flying in a metal tube at 30,000 feet, comfort trumps style. To help you avoid an in-flight fashion faux pas, avoid wearing these items below.
#1 Complicated outfits
Make sure to avoid any outfits that will be too complicated to get off and on in those teeny tiny rooms.
Jumpsuits are difficult to remove in teeny bathrooms. Also, avoid short skirts or dresses and anything low cut.
#2 Wearing Something Expensive
if you're wearing something expensive, heirloom-valuable, or tough to replace or clean, leave it home or pack it.The airplane is full of opportunities to ruin a nice outfit. Spilling drinks, rambunctious toddlers, and bathroom turbulence all threaten to destroy your perfect look
#3 Tight clothing
Tight clothes can restrict blood flow in the already-confining space of an airplane seat.Ditch the skinny jeans and don loose-fitting natural fibre garments (clothes made from cotton or linen are a great choice) to give your skin some breathing room.
#4 High Heels
Heels are restrictive, and they've been said to cause a long list of maladies, from chronic foot pain to hammer toe.
#5 Offensive clothing
Avoid wearing potentially offensive clothing to minimise a disruptive travel experience. Steer clear of T-shirts splashed with curse words or controversial statements, and anything that tends to raise eyebrows in public.
#6 Warm-weather clothing
Planes have a funny way of getting chilly, so don't wear something for hot weather, even if you're travelling to a hot weather climate, without bringing layers to snuggle up in during a plane ride
Your pajamas are what you sleep in. In private. In your bed. There’s a reason they are in the same section as “intimates” in the department store. Find something comfy or if you must, change into PJs on the plane if you are on a long haul and plan to sleep.
Put some pants on you know why? Because airplanes are cold AND DIRTY. You want as little exposed skin on as possible on your seat.
#9 Excessive cologne or perfume
Especially when you’re traveling by plane, it’s a good idea to forego the perfume or cologne. It may smell great (and subtle) to you, but that may not be the case for the person sitting next to you. People with allergies, those with asthma, or anyone prone to headaches may be bothered by your choice in fragrance. And others may simply find the scent unpleasant. Our advice? Pack your fragrance and apply it later, preferably when you won’t be in such close quarters with hundreds of other people. Opt for deodorant instead.
#10 Contact Lenses
If you’re flying, taking the bus, or travelling by train, chances are good you’ll be dealing with dry air. Do your eyes a favour and wear your glasses instead of contact lenses. Your glasses will be a lot more comfortable than your contacts, and they’ll cause fewer problems if you want to shut your eyes for a quick nap.
