Third Grader Comes Home With This On His Arm. Dad Is Shocked When He Reads It...

Biven's went to The Huntsville Times immediately to complain over what he deems is a horrible grievance. It can't be expected that kids in grade school can be held to such a high level of responsibility for something they have little or no control over.

Read on to find out what this third grader had done and how the school responded to him.

It seems that his son has received a reward a stamp with a smiley face on his son's arm. Stunned at the writing below the smiley face saying, "I Need Lunch Money," Jon Biven's didn't know what to make of the stamp at first.

Gardendale Elementary in Gardendale, AL, runs the cafeteria with refillable cards. Students can swipe the card and pay for their lunch. Parents were typically notified if their children's cards were running low on funds. Bivens was aware of the situation and would refill his son's card for special occasions.

#3 He had believed that his son had sufficient funds on his card to see the year out.

Bivens was aware of the method of payment required for kids to get lunch at school. And would top his sons card up for special treats.

It was coming to the close of the year and Bivens believed that there were sufficient funds on his son's card. Bivens was shocked at the message on his son's arm and how it was delivered to him.

Jon Bivens was shocked at how the message was conveyed to him as a parent. He told The Huntsville Times that usually, he would receive a call or a letter.

#5 He deemed the stamp which he calls a “brand” as a last resort for communicating and unacceptable.

"When you start stamping a message on a child's body instead of callingit's not okay."

#6 Biven’s deems the stamping as “a form of bullying.” and an unacceptable way of communicating.

Biven's was also astounded at the timing of the message, with his son finishing third grade so close at the end of the month of June.

Bivens believes that the way the school set about to communicate with him through his son isn't an acceptable way to communicate. He thinks that the school needs to come up with a more appropriate way of communicating.
