Nadia Fiore and her family prepared to grill out on a nice summer afternoon.
Her son Anthony was ready to enjoy the burgers cooking on the grill.
Nadia gave Anthony A burger for him to taste.
As soon as he bit into it, Nadia knew something was wrong.

What started out as a relaxing family afternoon, turned into a horror story.
Anthony said he felt like there was a needle sticking him in his throat.
Terrified and panicked Nadia took him to a hospital.
In the hospital, they took an X-ray of Anthony's throat.

The X-ray revealed:
A small object was wedged in Anthony's throat.

The object was actually a broken bristle from a worn grill brush.
This could happen to anyone.

Unfortunately, Anthony had to undergo surgery to remove the object.
Nadia would have never thought that using an old brush would leave her son in the hospital.

Anthony made a full recovery.
But anyone using a wire brush to clean their grill should be very careful and replace the brush when it becomes worn.
