It'll take quite a while
This Is How Long It Would Take Jeff Bezos To Run Out Of Cash If He Spent $1 Million A Day
If Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, decided to spend $1 million every single day, it would take him an astonishingly long time to run out of money.
While most of us cling to our few pennies and eagerly await payday, Bezos has absolutely no issues with running out of cash anytime soon.
In fact, even if he were to splash $1 million every month, it would barely make a dent in his immense fortune.
As of 27th July, Bezos's estimated net worth stands at a mind-boggling $198.6 billion, according to Forbes.
While the rest of us are struggling with the cost of living, pondering whether to spend an extra $5 to treat ourselves to a coffee, Bezos has the funds to splash not just an extra $5, but an eye-watering $1 million per day if he really wanted to.
So, what if Bezos actually spent $1 million every day?
You might think that even one of the richest people in the world would run out of money fairly quickly given what a large sum that is to spend in just 24 hours.
However, when you break it down – or rather, when we save you the time and break it down for you – you'll realize Bezos would, depressingly for the rest of us, last a lot longer than you can begin to imagine.
If Bezos decided to start doling out $1 million every single day, it would still take him around 544 years to run out of money.
And to think, it only takes most of us a month to run out of the measly-by-comparison salary we all get paid.
But instead of splashing six-figures a day, Bezos's net worth is used elsewhere.
The business magnate is said to have a $570 million property portfolio. Last year, he revealed that he's relocating to Miami from Seattle to be closer to his parents.
He announced the news of his move on social media shortly after purchasing a $79 million mansion on Indian Creek Island.
This 19,064 square-foot property boasts seven bedrooms and 14 bathrooms.
Bezos is also quite fond of super yachts and owns a one-of-a-kind $500 million vessel.
This boat is so enormous that it doesn't fit into your typical yacht docks.
It has to be docked next to 600-foot oil tankers.
It’s incredible how the other half lives, isn't it?
