Designer Carlos Arturo Torres wants to make prosthetics for children that are much more kid-friendly than what's currently on the market. Sure, prosthetic limbs need to be functional, but that doesn't mean they can't be fun, too!

Torres — along with Lego Future Lab and a Columbian foundation called Cirec — developed a special arm that not only serves practical purposes, but also allows kids to get creative.

#1 The Iko arm has actual Lego attachments, which means that kids can customize their prosthetics to suit their playtime needs.

The inside of the arm contains a Lego Mindstorms component that pairs Legos with programmable robotics.

#2 Dario, who participated in the first Iko prototype trial, was free to design anything he wanted in order to create the most epic prosthetic limb ever.
