He proposed?

Amanda Teague is a divorced mother-of-four. She married a 300-year-old ghost of a Haitian pirate. She said, "Jack proposed to me. I wanted us to make a proper commitment to each other?"

How did it all start?

Even though he does not have a physical form, this former pirate, named Jack, who is now a ghost is 100% real to Amanda. What makes this story more interesting is that this woman worked as a Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator, but that is just a coincidence. It was her love of pirates that attracted her to Jack.

It all started in 2015. Amanda was in her bed in her Drogheda, Ireland home when she sensed a presence. This presence would soon become her husband. Their relationship began to blossom. By July 2016, Amanda had hired a registrar so she could legally marry Jack in international waters. A spiritual medium was also present so Jack could say his "I do".

They have sex?

Amanda and Jack Teague are no different than any other married couples. They go on dates, have fights, and even have sex. Apparently, sex with a ghost is no different than having sex with a real live person.

Feeling the Spirit

"It is well known that people often feel a spirit touch their hands, their face or their hair. The only difference between having a sexual relationship with a spirit is obviously that sense of touch goes a lot deeper. You can feel the weight of the spirit, their touch, the pressure," Amanda explained.

Soulmates

"He is my soulmate. I am so happy, it is the perfect kind of relationship for me. There are a lot of people out there who don’t know about spiritual relationships, but it could be right for them – I want to get the message out there."

In the early parts of their relationship, Jack would sit with her while she watched TV or while she was driving. The pair used this time to get to know each other. It was not long before Amanda developed strong feelings towards her ghostly lover.

Connecting

"We became really close, the more I learned about him, the more I liked him. One day he said to me, 'We can actually be together you know,' but I had never heard of an intimate relationship between a spirit and a human before. I did some research and found out that it is a real thing and there are lots of people in spiritual relationships, but not many people like to talk about it," she continued.

Amanda could have given "physical" men more of a chance before she committed herself to an 18th-century spirit, but she had enough experience with "physical beings" since she was married to one for six years. She had four children with him but says that she cannot connect with a "physical" man the way that she connects with her pirate ghost.

More About Jack

"He is black, so he is not the same color as Johnny Depp, but he is dark skinned and has very dark jet-black hair, so he tells me," she said. "I have always had a real fascination with his era, I like a lot of the stuff from that time."

Jack apparently lived in the 1700s as a Haitian pirate who was executed for being a thief on the high seas. "And there is a lot of the modern world that he likes. I am very 1700s and he is quite modern, so it balances out," she explained.

Writing A Book

Now, Amanda and her husband are writing a book together for other women who want to find love in the spirit world.

So, that is the story. Amanda was sick of real men, so she did something about it. While some women would go and commit to a life on their own, Amanda found love in the spirit world instead. We wish the happy couple the best of luck.
