If you want to really know the worth of someone, see how they treat others they have more power over. If they try to empower those people and treat them fairly, and with kindness, then they're a good person.
If they abuse them, well, then they're an absolute scumbag. And this is especially true of partners who abuse their significant others both emotionally and physically.
#1 Because he left nearly her entire body covered in cuts and bruises.
The 19-year-old makeup artist was locked in their home by McCourt who, for four hours, viciously beat her. Skillen was rushed to the hospital after the traumatic experience to treat her severe injuries.
#2 James McCourt is right up there with the worst of them.
Because he admitted to abusing his ex-girlfriend, Kelsie Skillen. And it's not like he just threatened her, or slapped her, or pushed her, which are all terrible. But the extent of his physical violence against Skillen was so heinous, that she had to share it with other women everywhere.
#3 McCourt shared her photos on Facebook as a rejoinder to those who downplayed her abuse and as a warning to other women about what he's capable of.
"I would never be able to forgive myself if I didn't tell people about this and another poor girl ended up in my situation, so thanks to everyone who came to support me today and who has supported me this full way it means a lot."
#4 People were shocked and mostly supportive of Skillen and her bravery in being so open about her abuse.
#5 But even with all the photo evidence, and McCourt admitting to the abuse, people are still saying Skillen is over-exaggerating her injuries.
