One of the things that makes us all so captivated is the subject of death and the afterlife.

Does life after death exist? Exactly how does dying feel? However, one idea claiming that humans 'never die' has caused great panic among people.

A lot of theories have been floated about what might or might not happen to us when we die, making death one of the most enigmatic and highly debated topics.

Hugh Everett, an American physicist who frequently uploads on TikToker as @joli.artist, discussed the spine-chilling "many-worlds" hypothesis known as "quantum immortality" in a video he shared.

Over 60 years ago, Everett developed the strange idea, which had its roots in the Schrodinger equation's mathematics.

He basically proposed that there are billions of more worlds or realities and that when we "die," we simply go on to the following reality.

There is a ton of difficult science and math behind it, but in essence, he made this claim.

According to this notion, Joli asserted on TikTok, "We never really die" and that the world could have ended multiple times without our knowledge. Lovely.

Elaborating on the theory, she explained: "Whenever you die in one universe, your consciousness just gets transferred into another universe where you survive."

Joli adds that although we don't remember our former existence in this parallel universe, we might notice certain elements that appear odd.

She continued by mentioning the Mandela Effect, a condition in which a group of people all hold the same distorted or twisted memory: "So after the inevitable apocalypse occurs, you're going to wake up the next day in a new reality, and the next thing you know, you're going to find yourself on Reddit talking about 'since when did Pizza Hut have two Ts?

"Arguing with people who are native of this new reality, talking about 'it's always had two Ts?'"

It's safe to say that the idea that the world might have ended unexpectedly several times spooked TikTok users appropriately.

Joli continued, adding more salt to the injury: "You don’t believe me? Okay, it’s been about 65 million years since the asteroids allegedly took out the dinosaurs.

“So you mean to tell me that in the last 65 million years, no other asteroids have come through the neighborhood and taken us out?

"What I'm saying is that Earth is probably always being taken out, and our consciousness just keeps transferred to another parallel universe - and then another one, and another one.

"For all you know the apocalypse probably already happened last night..."

"BYE NOT TODAY," wrote one user in response to the video.

"Ok, I’m actually kind of freaking out right now coz I’m not the conspiracy typa guy, but you’re like eerily making sense," said another.

A third echoed: "The thought of never being able to actually die is extremely depressing, and it’s giving me a headache."
