#1 What Are Blackheads?
Blackheads are open-air pores, filled with skin oil and dead skin cells. They are a type of acne that is caused by hormonal changes, poor diet, excessive use of cosmetics, stress, and oily skin. Basically, everyone is prone to blackheads. Here are a few remedies to help you deal with them in the privacy of your home.
#2 Avoid Worsening Your Skin
There are many tips to ensure you're not worsening your skin. Never pick at your blackheads. By touching your skin too often, you're adding more dirt and bacteria to your pores. Make sure to avoid using your own blackhead removal tools. Without the proper education on how to use them, you're risking scarring your skin. Make sure to use exfoliants that are not harsh on your skin. You may have very sensitive skin and these types of face washes can cause damage permanently. Wash your face, twice, daily, and make sure you're washing your pillowcases frequently.
#3 Homemade Cleansers
There are three homemade remedies to help with blackhead removal: honey, egg white, and mint juice and turmeric. Honey is used for anti-infection. It also pulls out dirt from open pores. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and scrub for three minutes. Egg whites tighten pores, while pulling out dirt. Apply a thin layer for 2-3 minutes, then apply a second layer for 10-15 minutes. Let the mask completely dry, then wash off. Mint juice cleans out dirt pores. Boil mint leaves in water, add a table spoon of turmeric powder, apply to your face, let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse off.
#4 Use Lemon And Salt To Exfoliate
Mix squeezed lemon with a tablespoon of yogurt, a tablespoon of salt, a bit of honey. Scrub for 2-3 minutes where blackheads are located and rinse with warm water.
#5 Green Tea Scrub
Green Tea is used as a revival ingredient. It helps with removing dirt from your face with antioxidants. Mix green tea with water, apply to face as a scrub, leave applied for 2-3 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
