Topless Model Kicked Off Colombia Vs Hungary Match To Celebrate Women's Liberation

This year is significant because it's been three decades since the most X-rated kickoff of all time involved a topless model entering a football field.

The staged affair occurred thirty years ago, and the viral video that shows it is one of the most stunning pieces of old footage ever. In fact, a half-naked woman startled the crowd by approaching the field and strutting to the semi-circle just before the start of a friendly match between Hungary and Colombia in early June 1990, to celebrate the fall of communism and women's liberation in east Europe.

She took the kickoff in Budapest with her breasts exposed as a symbol of the end of communism in the nation and the declaration of women's liberation in Hungary. There had never been anything like it at the Nepstadion stadium.

Three weeks prior to the World Cup in Italy, the match was played there. Around 4,000 people watched as the beauty punted the ball to start play while only wearing bikini bottoms and heels.

Carlos Valderrama, the legendary World Cup captain of Colombia, showed his admiration for her work while applauding her efforts. The woman must have done something right because Hungary defeated the South Americans 3-1 as a result of her effort.

Fast forward 30 years and fans have been going wild at what they saw. One said: “Following the end of Communism in Hungary, this was a celebration of the liberation of women in the country and to mark a pursuit for their equal rights….and that's the excuse we'd have all used as well!”

Another said: “I didn't know whether to be surprised a naked woman kicked off or be surprised that the players treated it like the most natural action in the world.”

The footage was released following a well-known incident earlier this year when a woman started a fight at a racing event by flashing her breasts to the audience. A video that went popular on TikTok and Twitter showed an enthusiastic fan flashing her breasts in a stadium, but the action led to a fight because another woman objected since there were kids there.

Male supporters tossed beer at the complainant as she tried to explain why she was upset, defending the flasher. Thankfully, there were no similar incidents when nude breasts were displayed to Hungarian fans at their home stadium.

Gyorgy Bognar scored the game's first goal just six minutes after the game's unusual start. Kalman Kovacs proved he had a wonderful pair with two goals that ended the match, and Rincon Valencia responded for the visitors.
