Donald Trump has built a strong personal brand over the years, and after serving two terms as president of the United States, that branding has become even more visible. Many people may not realize just how many places, projects, and ideas now carry his name in some form.

In the past, Trump Tower along with his hotels and golf courses were well known for carrying his name during his real estate career. At the time, those properties stood out, but they now represent only a small part of a much larger pattern.

Since returning to office last year for his second term, the 47th president appears to have pushed forward with renaming or attaching his name to a wide range of things. This approach has drawn attention and sparked debate across different groups.

From historic buildings to well-known public landmarks, Trump’s name is now appearing in more places, and more changes are expected in the near future.

Florida’s Palm Beach International Airport

On Monday (March 30), Florida Governor Ron DeSantis submitted a motion to rename the airport as President Donald J Trump International Airport. This move followed a trademark application filed by the Trump business earlier in February for the same name.

If the proposal is approved, the new name could be introduced as early as July, depending on how quickly the process moves forward.

Before that can happen, several steps still need to be completed. The application must first go through the Federal Aviation Administration for approval, and once cleared, updates would need to be made across official systems, signage, and airport materials.

Even so, progress is already underway. Representative Brian Mast is expected to introduce legislation that would change the airport code from PBI to Trump’s initials, DJT, according to reports from The Hill.

The National News Desk quoted Mast as saying of the change: "President Donald J. Trump's impact on our nation will transcend our time — a historic legacy of dedication and commitment toward the American people. He's called Palm Beach County 'home' for many years, and this designation reflects our gratitude for his public service and leadership."

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

In one of the more surprising announcements, the White House revealed plans in December 2025 to adjust the name of the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Performing Arts. The proposed name would include both Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy in the title.

This decision followed a vote by the Kennedy Center board of trustees. The board included several individuals selected by Trump. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the board voted unanimously, pointing to 'the unbelievable work President Trump has done over the last year in saving the building'.

Trump later said he felt 'surprised' and 'honored' by the decision to include his name.

The center was originally created as a memorial to President John F. Kennedy after his assassination in Dallas, TX, in 1963. Because of that, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries argued that Trump did not have the authority to rename it without proper legislative action, based on US law.

This disagreement led Democratic US Representative Joyce Beatty to file a lawsuit aimed at removing Trump’s name from the center.

The US Institute of Peace also saw a name change around the same time as the Kennedy Center. In a post shared online, the Department of State said the rename was meant 'to reflect the greatest dealmaker in our nation's history', adding that 'the best is yet to come'.

This change came after Trump reportedly removed the institute’s board earlier in the year, along with its employees. As a result, control of the building shifted to the General Services Administration, according to the Associated Press.

Once again, Democratic leaders argued that the change was made without proper legal authority. The White House, however, denied those claims.

The legal dispute is still ongoing. However, a federal judge has already stated that some parts of the takeover process were not lawful, adding another layer to the situation.

Trump’s battleships

During the same period, Trump also turned attention toward military projects. Alongside the other naming decisions, he introduced the idea of “Trump-class” battleships.

The Navy described one of its ships, USS Defiant, as part of a new class of American-designed battleships. These ships were expected to become the most powerful surface combatants ever built, mainly because of their scale and capabilities.

"They'll be the fastest, the biggest, and by far, 100 times more powerful than any battleship ever built," Trump said at the time.

And much more...

These examples are only part of a broader trend seen during Trump’s time in office.

Across Washington, DC, banners featuring his name and image were displayed last year. In addition, children’s savings accounts were introduced under the name “Trump Accounts.”

Other examples include a National Park pass that features both Trump and George Washington, a prescription drug search platform called TrumpRx, and even currency concepts that include his signature. Together, these additions show how widely his name has been applied across different areas.
