Donald Trump is probably the most unconventional president when it comes to his personal habits. He is definitely an interesting person. Besides the fact that he drinks bottled water using both hands, watches hours upon hours of television every day, and eats Big Macs without the buns, there are several other strange things that the leader of the free world does on a daily basis.
He’s a germophobe.
Being a self-proclaimed germophobe, he washes his hands multiple times a day and does not like shaking hands. While plenty of people are germophobes and do not like shaking hands, Trump makes it weird because he is the president, and it is his job to shake hands. Also, he will not push the ground floor button in an elevator because it is the most touched button. He also prefers fast food chain restaurants because they have higher cleanliness standards, and no matter where his food comes from, he likes to eat his food with a knife and fork.
He’s a fast food fanatic.
We all know that Trump loves his McDonald's, but he also loves fried chicken and pizza as well as junk foods like Oreos, chips, and chocolate milkshakes. According to the New York Times, Trump loves his extra calories. If he orders a salad, he slathers it down with dressing and bacon. He also takes an extra scoop of ice cream with dessert.
He’s addicted to Diet Coke.
I guess the man needs to wash his junk food with something. His beverage of choice is Diet Coke. He drinks a dozen cans of the stuff every day. All of that caffeine could explain some of his bizarre behaviors.
He has TV rules.
You better not even think about touching the television remote for any TV at the White House. Trump has super strict rules about who is allowed to change the TV channels. Only Trump and his technical staff have access to the remotes. The TVs are always on even during meetings. They are muted but left on so that he can keep an eye on the headlines at all times.
He needs to be in the headlines.
This should come as no surprise. The man loves to be in the limelight and enjoys being in front of the camera. A senior official in the White House says that the man cannot bear to be out of the headlines for more than a day or two. The official claims that Trump became "uncomfortable after two or three days of peace and could not handle watching the news without seeing himself on it."
He needs to rearrange everyone’s belongings.
This is another that is no shocker if you have ever watched Trump on screen. He likes to rearrange his own and other people's belongings during meetings and conferences. You may see him move someone's water glass or move around his own papers. It appears that Trump likes things to be perfectly organized around him. Some would say that it is because he is a control freak, but others contribute it to his television experience and knowledge of what looks good on camera.
It’s all about having good hair.
The President has one of the most unique hairstyles of all times. In fact, he is very picky about who he lets cut and style his hair. He complained, during a rally in Charleston, West Virginia, about the declining hairspray standards. And, once during a photo shoot, he asked to have his cashmere sweater cut off of him so that it would not mess up his hair.
He’s an insomniac.
Who has time to sleep when there are so many things to tweet about? The man only sleeps five hours a night and wakes up early to catch the day's headlines. He often appears with his phone in hand so he can quickly tweet his responses to the news before he is even dressed for the day.
He loves to show off the White House Bathroom.
Whenever Trump entertains personal guests at the White House, he likes to show off the bathrooms. He especially likes to show off the one near the oval office that he recently renovated. He also enjoys showing off the Truman Balcony and Lincoln Bedroom,

Speaking of bathrooms, this Mexican entrepreneur created his very own brand of Trump toilet paper. 30% of the profits go to funding legal advice for immigrants. We think it is pretty brilliant.
