McCain, 81 was diagnosed with brain cancer back in 2017. The politician underwent a surgery where doctors removed a blood clot above his eye. Recently, McCain underwent a surgery to remove a complicated intestinal infection. Meghan recently updated on her dad's health on Twitter, "My father @SenJohnMcCain is in stable condition – he continues to inspire me everyday with his intense grit and determination. Thank you to the doctors at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix and to everyone who is praying for him."

#5 McInerney Referred McCain's Time As A Prisoner Of War
Later on Thursday, Fox News host Charles Payne interviewed Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney on McCain’s opposition to Haspel, which was based in part due to her belief that torture works as a questioning method. McInerney added that since Haspel was unable to use torture as it is illegal, the method worked on the McCain himself. "The fact is, is John McCain — it worked on John," McInerney said, referencing McCain’s time as a prisoner of war.
He added, "That’s why they call him ‘Songbird John.’ The fact is those methods can work, and they are effective, as former Vice President Cheney said. And if we have to use them to save a million American lives, we will do whatever we have to."
