This woman had no idea that an innocent picture sent to her by her boyfriend would help her in catching him cheating on her through the live picture option. TikTok influencer Serena Kerrigan's post has now gone viral on social media and people are enraged by the blunder and betrayal.
No matter how unethical it is, cheating on partner in a romantic relationship is quite common in our society. However, what is uncommon is getting caught in an awkwardly bizarre manner.
This is what happened when a woman in a TikTok video revealed how she caught her boyfriend in an accidental shameless live photo cheating on her.
TikTok influencer Serena Kerrigan shared a video of the picture, captioning it: “When the guy you’re dating says he misses you but then you click the Live Photo.”
The harmless photo initially shows a stuffed toy perched on the pillow of a hotel bed.
However, the fun part occurs when Kerrigan tapped on the live version of the snap and saw that the cute stuffed toy and her so-called boyfriend had company with them.
As the next few seconds of the picture show, another woman leaping onto the bed with a huge smile plastered on her face.
Kerrigan’s post racked up more than 1.2 million likes and 9,600 comments as users shared their outrage at the bizarre blunder and betrayal.
“My jaw dropped faster than she did,” one wrote.
“He couldn’t wait five seconds for the Live Photo to end?” asked another.
Meanwhile scores of others shared similar experiences.
“Lol a guy I dated did the same and a Bumble notification popped up on the live,” one recalled.
“I heard his new girlfriend in the background while he drunk called me saying he missed me,” said another.
“The guy I was talking to went on a trip alone and I asked for a picture. When I clicked the live someone in the car said ‘are you done’,” a third reminisced.
Many people shared tips too on how to catch cheating partners using the iPhone function.
One explained: “If you save their Live Photo you can also check your camera roll for the date times and place it was taken. Go off ladies.”
“The best part is you can save it to your camera roll and pull up the exact location,” another added.

Few people also asked the credibility of the picture, questioning: “Did someone actually send you this?” and “is this even possible?”.
Kerrigan then confirmed that it was true with a simple “100 per cent.”
Let's just say next time you want to catch a cheating partner, an iPhone might not be a bad option to invest in.
