Woman Left Speechless After She Finds Mother-In-Law 'Breastfeeding' Her Baby On Nanny Cam
This woman was left speechless after she found her mother-in-law breastfeeding her son without her permission.
The shocked mom took to Reddit to share her distressing details about the incident.
The young mom shared how her son is breastfed on evenings and weekends and all other days she pumps milk to feed him.
Her mother-in-law helps her out in caring for the baby during the day where she is supposed to feed the baby from the bottle that contains pumped milk.
AITA for not wanting my mother in law to take care of my baby after she tried to breastfeed him? from r/AmItheAsshole
However, mom reveals she was left horrified when one day she decided to check up on them through nan cam and found her mother-in-law breastfeeding her kid.
"Yesterday while I was at work, I opened the baby monitor app on my phone to check and see if my MIL was able to get him to take a nap in his crib," she wrote on Reddit.
"She had been texting me saying he was crying really hard so she was thinking about just holding him for a nap, so I wanted to check and see if he was okay and if she ended up just holding him.
"When I looked at the camera, MIL was holding him and she had her shirt up and he was latched onto her breast.
"He was latched on, but obviously not getting any milk as my mother in law is not lactating."
She then decided to immediately contact her mother-in-law but couldn't reach her by phone.
She eventually got hold of her through her husband. Upon asking the mother-in-law revealed that the child was crying hard and she thought if she did the same to her grandchild what she used to do with her four kids it might help.
She was also not happy with the fact that her daughter-in-law keeps checking on her through nanny cam and claimed it was an 'invasion of privacy.'
Left with a dilemma, the woman took to Asking Reddit's Am I The A**hole page, where she questioned whether she was out of line for not wanting her mother-in-law looking after her child anymore.
She wrote: "I don't want her watching my baby anymore. We can afford a nanny or daycare.
"When I told my MIL this, she freaked out and said I was being a b***h and she was just trying to calm the baby down and it wasn't a big deal.
"She says I'm taking her grandchild away from her and being unfair. My husband understands why I'm upset, but wants to give her another chance to watch the baby.
"He also doesn't want to spend the money to get a nanny or do daycare when she can care for our baby for free."
The Internet supported the OP and told her that her flipping out over this situation was rightly done so and many called this incident an assault on the child and pointed out that ending her arrangement with the MIL would be completely justified on her side.
