Woman Left Terrified After ‘Dust’ Turns Out To Be Huge Spider And Army Of Babies

On closer inspection, horrified makeup and special effects student Lydia realized she was actually looking at an enormous Mama spider, surrounded by her babies.

Lydia posted pictures of the beasts on Twitter showing the hoard of eight-legged creatures dangling from the ceiling in her bedroom in Yorkshire.

Writing on the social media site, the 19-year-old said

"I have not just found this in the corner of my room at this time thinking it was dust."

The images show a massive spider dangling from the ceiling surrounded by dozens of tiny babies.

She then joked she wanted to “burn” her entire bedroom down to get rid of the unwanted visitors.

The pictures have already been retweeted more than 2,500 times and liked more than 4,300 times.

And users were shocked by the images.

One person commented: “My heart actually stopped beating when I saw this.”

Someone else joked that Lydia had "no excuse" for letting the spiders breed in her room.

One person advised her to ‘throw the entire wall away’. Another demanded she ‘throw the whole house away’.

Another quipped: “She better be paying rent with all them kids”.

Speaking with UNILAD, Lydia wove together the threads of this creepy yarn:

I was just in my room the other night and was moving some boxes from some shelves I don’t really go near as I’m moving away to uni on Tuesday when I noticed what I thought was a clump of dust in the very corner.

I didn’t have my glasses on at the time so I hadn’t realized what it was.

Once I did it was like being in a nightmare, obviously, I straight away had to get my dad to get rid of them!

The spider is most likely one of the “sex-mad” arachnids scientists have warned will invade UK homes.

And some are so big they have even been triggering burglar alarms as they creep around people’s houses.

Luckily, Lydia’s dad was on hand to rescue her and has apparently flushed the eight-legged family down the toilet.
