Sofia Franklyn, a TikTok star and podcast host, went popular after sharing her first date ritual. Sofia stated in a viral video with 2.1 million views that she routinely sends herself a drink from a bogus secret admirer so her date knows she's in high demand.
Woman Says She Send Herself Drinks From Fake Secret Admirer On First Dates
She wrote: "When I 'got to the bathroom' and pay the bartender to send me an 'anonymous' shot so my date remembers I have options."
Sofia then captioned the clip: "Men love some healthy competition!"
And it's not the first time she's done something to make someone envious.
In the comments, Sofia confessed: "I have def sent myself flowers a time or two.”
"lmaaaoooo this can work in many situations. The world is your oyster ladies."
Needless to say, the suggestion provoked some lively discussion in the comments section, with hundreds of ladies promising to give it a try.
One replied: "You're an icon."
Another added: "I'm doing this next time!"
And while a third dubbed it the "art of seduction", Sofia said it's all about "creating love triangles" to bag the guy she wants.
The video, however, did not go over well with many viewers.
"Why is this not considered toxic," one viewer fumed.
"How is this not embarrassing to ask for," another wrote. "OMG, I don’t think I could."
"A bit insecure," a third critic said.
