A woman named Lauren O'Connor was shopping at a supermarket in the UK when one of the staff members came to her and told her about her shorts being too short.

The woman was outraged and disappointed by this behavior, it isn't the first time a woman was shamed for her outfit.

Lauren was left shamed, the staff member told her that a male shopper had made a complaint to him regarding the length of her shorts.

Lauren told The Sun that the staff member told her; "I think you need to pull your T-shirt down, as a gentleman doesn't know if you're wearing anything underneath."

Lauren wrote: "I’m so angry right now. Just been approached by a @sainsburys staff member in Staines store to ‘pull my t-shirt down’.

"An elderly man made comment to the staff member who felt compelled to come over and tell me as I was shopping. It’s 32 degrees. If I want to wear shorts I will."

Lauren tweeted; "For reference, this is my outfit. All I wanted was ice lollies. [And] I get shamed in-store doing so.

"So disappointed. When are we going to stop telling women how to dress? Especially when topless men frequent supermarkets, which I highly doubt are told to change."

#6 Response from the public was divided. Some supported her while others thought that her clothes were too short

According to The Sun, a spokesperson of the supermarket contacted Lauren through twitter. They said; "We are speaking to the store to understand what happened and would like to apologize to Lauren for any offense caused."
