Zac Efron Hopes For a “High School Musical” Reboot With The Original Cast

Zac Efron expressed his interest in filming the fourth movie in the High School Musical series during an interview with E! News released on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old performer noted that he would be more than happy to return to the Disney Channel series, in which he starred for several installments.
Zac Efron has left High School Musical fans excited after revealing he'd love to reprise his role as Troy Bolton. And, if the chance arises, join the rest of the original cast in a relaunch.
A message added in the post's caption read: 'Time to start brainstorming the plot for HSM 4.'
When asked if he would be interested in returning to the franchise, Efron stated that he would be delighted to rejoin his co-stars.
'Of course. Seriously, having the opportunity in any form to go back and work with that team would be so amazing,' he said.
The Firestarter actor expressed that he would jump at the chance to revive the hit franchise.
'Yeah, my heart's still there, so that would be incredible; I hope it happens,' he said.
Several franchise fans spoke enthusiastically about the possibility of a fourth film in the series in the video's comments section.
The first High School Musical film, which Romeo and Juliet inspired, debuted in 2006.
The plot revolved around a basketball captain and a timid math student who get close after signing up to perform in their high school's musical.

Numerous novels and video games based on the property have also been published.
