"The Real Housewives Of New York City" Star Jill Zarin's Husband Loses His Fight To Cancer

#1 Family Statement

Jill Zarin on her official website revealed that her husband Bobby Zarin has passed away. Zarin released a family statement, "With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to share the news that our beloved Bobby Zarin passed away peacefully today surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. There are no words to describe how heartbroken we are. Thank you, everyone for all your love, and support during this difficult time."

#2 Cancer Relapsed

Bobby was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer back in 2009. He had his thyroid removed and was undergoing radioactive iodine treatment. Speaking to a magazine at the time of treatment, Bobby revealed, "The radioactive iodine usually kills off whatever undetectable cancer cells are left in your body after surgery. We thought it was cured and it usually is in about 93 percent of cases. But I wasn't able to absorb the radioactive iodine. So it came back."

#3 Cancer Metastasized

Unfortunately, in 2016 Jill Zarin revealed that Bobby's cancer has metastasized and it has spread to his lungs and brain in the form of tumor. After undergoing an advanced brain surgery the family was hoping for a miracle. Jill in her interview at the time, said, "He is the most loving and caring person I have ever known besides my father. He is not going down without a fight, we're hoping for a miracle."

#4 Celebrating Wedding Anniversary

On January 4, Jill shared a picture of the couple on social media, wishing her husband "Happy 18th Anniversary." The post was captioned, "Happy 18th! Anniversary to the love of my life Bobby Zarin. Bobby is the most perfect man I know. He never loses anything, never forgets anything and when I think he is wrong... he is always right!"

#5 The Most Incredible Step Dad!

Bobby's stepdaughter Alyson Shapiro, mourning the death of her father paid a small tribute to him on her Instagram. She posted a sweet picture with her father and captioned, "We ❤️ Bobby... thank you for giving me such a wonderful family and being the most incredible step-Dad anyone could ever ask for. I don’t remember a time without you, and you will not be forgotten. Every shot of patron, every time we listen to Hotel California, every vroom of a Ferrari you will be right there with us. You fought with dignity and courage, surrounded by all of us with love and respect till the very end. You can rest In peace now, we love you so much. Service held on Monday 10am January 15, 2018 at Riverside Memorial, 180 West 76th st."

#6 Survived By Four Children

Bobby was the owner of Zarin fabrics, which was originally founded by his father in New York City in 1963. He is survived by four children, Jennifer, David, Jonathan and stepdaughter Alyson.
