Being a mom is hard work.
You’re constantly working and looking after your children, and you’re always on the clock. Uninterrupted nights are no longer a luxury you can afford, and managing to get 4 hours of sleep makes you feel like a rock star.
You also have to lock up anything of value, otherwise, your kids will either try to eat it or try to play with it and break if.
When your child plays with your expensive makeup, you can’t help but get a little teary-eyed.
Don’t get me wrong, being a mom is an incredible joy, but it’s also the most difficult job in the world.
There are many daily struggles you face when raising a child.
Here are just a few struggles all moms will understand.
1. Let's start with an obvious struggle: The pain of childbirth.
To say "Ouch" is the ultimate understatement.
2. The lactation room is a cold place of dark solitude.
Here, go sit in a windowless room and stare at the drywall until you're all done.
3. Breastfeeding is great and all until they start teething.
Haven't those babies ever heard the phrase, "Don't bite the boob that feeds you"?
4. Your makeup is no longer yours alone.
Stop caring, because whether you like it or not, you're sharing.
5. If you thought dad was going to be helpful, think again.
Men are just big kids who make even bigger messes.
6. Even when you think you have found a place of solitude, kids can come out of nowhere.
There will be no peace until they graduate.
7. As much work as one kid can be, you may find yourself wanting another anyway.
A mothers' love is what makes the world go 'round. What would we do without loving mothers?
8. When you’re a mom you learn to hide your expensive possessions.
The first time your phone ends up in the toilet you learn this lesson.
9. There’s no such thing as a non-messy food.
Kids will find a way to make a huge mess no matter what they eat and moms will find new ways to clean it up every time.
10. As a mom, you quickly learn that as soon as your children learn to speak, they suddenly think they know everything.
This doesn't change as they get older.
