Introduction

The Walking Dead's Steven Yuen is a testament to the fact that a character on a MAJOR character didn't have to address their ethnicity.

Glenn was the resident Korean-American on the show and it was extremely refreshing to see that he was one of the most beloved characters on the show.

He'd grow from a spry witty scavenger who befriends Rick and grew into a BEAST. But Steven Yuen is more than just a great actor...

1. He went to North Korea with Conan O'Brien.

2. He ain't stupid. He was supposed to go to med school.

He began acting when he was studying psychology at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Real place.

3. He was part of Stir Friday Night AKA a sketch comedy group made up of Asian Americans.

He was an improv MASTER.

4. He admitted that he, TOO, hated Lori on The Walking Dead.

I mean, he's only human.

5. He was Sheldon's roommate, Sebastian, before Leonard.

One of his first roles on TV was in 2010 when he showed up on The Big Bang Theory's episode, "Staircase Implementation." He told Leonard to stay away from the psycho roommate. "Run away, dude. Run fast, run far."

6. He's an investor in a bakery with his bro.

It's called the The Bun Shop owned by his little brother, Brian Yeun.

7. He used Christianity AND boxing to get into the right mindset. Boxing helped with the yelling and running on the show.

"I was raised in a Christian household and heard a lot of praise music, so that€™s what helps me get to an emotional place. There€™s a church in Australia called Hillsong that specializes in the whole contemporary praise music thing, and I listen to their stuff."

8. He plays guitar like a boss.

9. He actually admits that he's not much of a horror-phile:

"I'm not much of a horror fan. When it comes to ghost stuff and demon stuff, I can't watch that."

10. He'd drive from Atlanta where The Walking Dead shoots all the way to Detroit (11 HOURS) to watch the Detroit Pistons because he's a massive fan.

11. He said he'd rather be in a real zombie Apocalypse than go through a Korean beauty treatment again.

He went to the Los Angeles Korean Health Spa with Conan and both got scrubbed to pieces and boiled alive.

12. He's seen ghosts.

"Anything I can punch in the face is not nearly as scary as something where my fist would go through... Sleep paralysis? I woke up and I couldn't move. It happens a lot to a lot of people. But I opened my eyes and saw a dark figure at the doorway just laughing. I freaked out, woke up, and then nothing was there. It was pretty much a dream. I don't know if it was an actual ghost but that was good enough for me."

13. He's best buds with his Walking Dead wife, Lauren Cohen.

They both made mini-videos screaming about their friends' engagements and made fun of people who think there's something romantic going on between them.
