#1 Johnny Depp (The Rum Diaries).

This is perhaps not so surprising considering Depp's well documented problems with the drink. Depp's character in the rum diaries partook in the giggle juice frequently, so Depp and the films director Bruce Robinson kept a bottle of Chivas Regal on set at all times.

#2 Margot Robbie (The Wolf Of Wall Street).

This was Robbie's breakout role in 2013 and it doesn't get much bigger than acting alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the greatest actors/playboys of our generation. Robbie was so nervous before her first intimate shoot with DiCaprio that she took three shots of tequila just to calm down.

#3 Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman (Black Swan).

It's apparently a bit of a theme for actors to get smashed before doing sex scenes. Kunis and Portman downed a bottle of tequila together before filming their sultry scene in Black Swan to loosen up a bit.

#4 Brad Pitt and Edward Norton (Fight Club).

This is why you love David Fincher movies. The guy just goes the extra mile to squeeze every ounce of authenticity out of his actors. Apparently while Norton and Pitt were having a drinking session in their down time, Fincher fed them some dialogue and rolled the cameras as the pair hit golf balls. "I am Jack's total loss of motor function".

#5 Billy Bob Thornton (Bad Santa).

You would be disappointed if Billy Bob wasn't completely drunk during the filming of Bad Santa. Thornton admitted to being on the sauce for large portions of the film because, you know, the creators of this film were serious about ensuring its authenticity.

#6 Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games).

Hilariously, J-Law would get so bored waiting to be called on to set for the film Catching Fire, she ended up drinking piña coladas in her trailer. I guess going for a run these days just doesn't cut it.

#7 Robert Pattinson (The Rover).

This usually clean cut, ‘take him home to your mother' good boy was actually drinking large quantities of vodka during filming of The Rover in the Australian outback. Maybe the drinking explains why Pattinson looks so pale all the time.

#8 Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter).

Surprisingly, Daniel Radcliffe is a bit of a bad ass. He has revealed that during the filming of Harry Potter he was often intoxicated, and has battled alcohol addiction.

#9 Martin Sheen (Apocalypse Now).

This was the film to end all films, almost. This film took so long, ran so over budget and just completely messed with the minds of all involved that the director Francis Ford Coppola contemplated suicide and Martin Sheen had a heart attack. Sheen turned to drink in a big way, especially in the opening scene where he punched a glass mirror, cut his hand open and almost attacked Coppola off-screen. Whatever happened to the good old days of cinema?

#10 Shia LaBeouf (Lawless).

During the filming of Lawless, LaBeouf would drink so much moonshine to get in to character that he apparently became quite aggressive towards his co-star Mia Wasikowska. She even tried to quit the film because she felt uncomfortable around him. He presumably also encouraged her to quit, screaming "just do it!" in between takes.

#11 Neve Campbell, Denise Richards and Matt Dillon (Wild Things).

Regardless of what you may think, threesomes can be pretty awkward. Before filming the iconic threeway in Wild Things, these three actors hit the bottle before jumping each other.

#12 Robert Shaw (Jaws).

Remember the scene where Shaw gets drunk below deck and delivers the Indianapolis speech to the rest of the crew? Shaw apparently got so hammered before this scene that he blacked out and the shoot had to be rescheduled for the next day.

#13 Julie Andrews (The Sound Of Music).

You knew nobody could be that happy without a bit of chemical help. During the Do-Re-Mi scene in the Alps, the farmer who owned the land where filming took place brewed his own Schnapps and would regularly give Andrews shots while she practiced guitar. Rock on Julie!
