My old man is a legend, fact. Seriously he reached peak dad a long time ago. Having said this, when he tells me stories about what he got up to when he was my age I struggle to understand how he made the transition, they sound pretty bonkers. When was the moment he stopped being just a dude, gallivanting around town with his mates causing havoc, to being responsible for another human? In fact, two humans. I’m not sure how he did it, but somehow he managed to cope with all the pooping, screaming, crying and sleepless nights. I suppose they all do.
There’s no doubt that my dad nailed the whole fatherhood thing, just like these men who have totally reached the pinnacle of awesome when it comes to parenting.
